I see a lot of "coins" domains in the auction, most sound awkward to pronounce, as a rule if it sounds wrong when pronounced I will avoid, good luck !

It gives me Great pleasure to say I have finally Received my first offer ever on SEDO!!!

For my name ..none the less (my fav)

(H)(o)(l)(o)(c)(a)(d)(e) [{.}] com

Min offer set at $500

They opened at $800.....

Thinking my counter Strategy through and would greatly appreciate anyone's opinions thoughts , personal value and what not on this name and counter tactics !

I feel this is my strongest name with GREAT enduser potential for a company name .

$800 is what I would pay as a reseller ( another domainer ) if I knew I could get 2-5k for it which I Strongly believe I could and it could easily go for my to the right person / company !!

I want my counter to be high, but if it's not a huge ensure I , don't want to scare them off either ! ( I know their are domainers with deep pockets that could dish this out for resell)

I'll stand by my previous comment, and think this goes out to an enduser at 3-7.5k or more... As to reseller pricing, at this point in time, I don't think you're going to pull much more than 1.5k tops... (Name is fantastic, but vertical is just too speculative for resellers to justify much more in my experience... As always, JMHO...

)

PS - Remember, if you wanted to be super conservative and preserve your opening offer, on SEDO you can always push to auction and see what happens...

I feel just about in line with what your saying . I think $6-8kEnduser is sweet spot for this name , with top being 10k if I was ever lucky enough .

With BrandPa valuation and pricing of my Holobrite at $3595 ...I could not let Cade go for less then that and would see it comfortable at Double that price !!

Thanks , yea I thought I'd never get a hit on SEDO , and I don't know if this is from my reading or " bench " sitting watching all the sales take place ....but I kinda feel over all that large offer made on SEDO "tend" to be more serious than on GD or that ( there is many more tire kickers spammers in GD) not always )

Last thing, if I choose to push to auction , can I set a reserve or is the initial offer Of $800 technically the reserve ?

Yes, the initial offer sets the reserve... If no other offers come in, you're then bound to sell to original bidder...

So someone else had said it here and or in a PM but There is a ENDUSER already using this name and developed it's the same name in . DE ( German)

I took a look at my Sedo account on the offer it has a spot that says

"Information about the buyer" I clicked it!

It say's "member since 2017 and location...GERMANY "

What are the chances it's the . de Match making the offer?

I would suggest very strongly not to go on a high offer.

The suggest given by @namebond is perhaps he best you should put it on auction. And see where it goes.

3)think if u got anything to lose . Someone with nothing to lose and a believe he will eventually get a 10k sale will counter 13k
4)someone that need the cash and w
Prefer money in the hand will counter 2k
5)if u do have a Minimum for it ,won't lose sleep at night for losing this sale but still want to keep the chances for a big sale u will counter 6-7-8k
6)the auction means u lose the name u love so much . Market is not there so no bidding war will be avail for u

but i believe 1st offers should never be accepted

sedo is not binding like gd after u counter
but u can lower your offer if no reply

so id counter 3900

My opinion is you only go to auction if you have a minimum of two interested parties. Otherwise its highly unlikely you'll receive further bids on a specific brandable like this.

Thanks guys for the advice, you all made great points, and allowed me to think out different routes and adjust those to what I feel comfortable with and my given stance on the name.

I have slept on it and decided I will Counter, high for several reasons. ( @Elad n thank you for the 1,2,3 steps, deff helped me relax and put my options into perspective)

1. I do fav the name more than most, so I'm willing to keep it longer

2.I believe it is a end user and if they want it, high or not they will counter back or accept, if it's whom I think it my be, they will come back regardless.

3. This is my 2nd offer in the $1k range for this name since owning it, so I feel that If i wanted to unload it for 800ish down the road I could.

4. I'm not worried if they walk away, so 5

5. I don't want to leave money on the table so I will counter with a High Price , if they're a "met in the middle" kind of person, they will meet where I'm happy, this leaves plenty of room to negotiate as well as jump start the process of find the top end of their budget. As they my respond with ( We can not pay that, but HERE is what we are will to go up to) without me asking for it.

6. I played around on Namebio with past sales price on Sedo, Ironically 15k which is 1K more than 14k, yet 15k has significantly more sales reported than 14k. Seems sometimes the round number of 5,10,15 is just more common.

Last, now I don't expect them to accept my counter, but it will lay down the "battle map" so to speak . (5-7) is my goal..So I will go high, given them a chance to make a deal, while Feeling that they got a deal. ( as the would be getting)

I will keep you all posted.

I have to agree Although I have a bunch of holo names that I feel I should drop myself. Just holding on to them as the whole portfolio is 12 -16 years old and bought as one. So kind of an emotional element no particular reasoning.

If you want to keep for emotional reasoning than it’s cool for Domain perspective you should let it go
