It's just a way for people – usually the original poster (OP) – to get the topic back on the front (page 1), in the hope that it gets seen and doesn't get lost in the second page and beyond abyss.

Technically it means Bring Up My Post., and the point of it is exactly as described by @domains21.
Welcome @Mctek. There will be plenty of other acronyms you see as you browse. Ask as necessary. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask.
