Okay, as I am going through my portfolio of stuff from years gone by, I remembered doing a deal here with someone for either litecoin or namecoin.
I’m pretty sure it wasn’t bitcoin, but it was defiantly one of the three. I have an old hard drive that used to hold the wallet, that hard drive died, I reinstalled XP and then the drive went into storage.
I’ve been told there’s a really good chance the wallet.dat file is still on there. The question is, is it worth paying for a professional recovery.
I’m hoping that someone here remembers doing a deal with me around 2011 and can tell me how much and what kind of coin it was before I spend the cash to have the files restored.
So if you did a coin deal with me in 2011-2012, please send me a PM.
It was a fast deal with someone I was friendly with. The seller sent me the file through NP, then they had the mods delete our messages for security.
Now seven years later I can’t remember who I did the deal with.
Maybe this post will create the spark!
