Hi all and thanks for letting me into your community. I'm almost brand new to domaining and all the domains I own were hand registered by me. I use quite a few of them on my own sites but would also like to make some cash selling domains eventually.

Yes I have built a few sites mainly in the IM niche all on domains I registered. I do enjoy coming up with domain names but not sure if I'm much good at it. From what little I've read up to now on this site, hand registered does not seem to be the way to go. My ambitions are to make some side income from domains if I can, whether that be bought domains or hand registered.

As a general rule it's easier to find good domains that have already existed instead of handreg'ing .. but there certainly are exceptions. If you find yourself using your domains as websites and you have traffic going to those websites .. then your domains are doing what they were intended to do. Mind you .. it doesn't necessarily mean they will have value to anyone else (other than for the traffic). Maybe ppost a couple of your domains in the appraisal section to get some actual feedback on some of your domains .. otherwise it's pretty hard to say whether you're on the right track or not.
