Hi everybody!

I'm Macit, co-founder of dofo.

I am very excited to announce that we have launched dofo.com as beta.
Dofo gets all the information you need on domain names, which is quick, easy, and free.

Our engineers go through the Internet with unique algorithms they develop, and provide you with tons of data on more than 330 million domain names, in a truly clear way. We aim to democratize the way people access domain name data and let you discover the Internet freely. Just as it should be!
dofo-home.jpg

You can search in all domain names:
For example just type "online" and see how many domain names contain "online".

There are tons of filters you can use:

Domain Filters
Keyword filter: contains, starts with, ends with, not contains, exact.
Extension filter: more than 1250 extensions.
Length filter: filter domain names by character length (1-63).
Hyphen filter: Do you want to see the domains include hyphens, or exclude hyphens or don't care?
Number filter: Must include, Exclude, May include (all).
Letter filter: Must include, Exclude, May include (all).
IDN filter: Must be, Exclude, Maybe (all).

Sale Filters
On sale filter
: Yes, No, Maybe.
Price filter: $1 to $100,000+.
Sale type filter: Buy now, Offer, Offer with buy now, Bid
Marketplace filter: Afternic, Godaddy, Namejet, Snapnames

Whois Filters
Create date filter
: Filter domain names by create date (1985 to today).
Registrar filter: Filter domain names by registrar company.
Registrant email filter: Filter domain names by registrant email address.
Registrant name filter: Filter domain names by registrant name.
Registrant country filter: Filter domain names by registrant country.

You can see all the information about a domain name:
  • whois
  • whois history
  • sale info
  • sale history
  • dispute history
  • website status
Check example.domain as a sample or enter any domain name.

Reverse Whois
You can see all the domain names owned by an email address. You can also look at these statistics about that registrant: extension, keyword, language, length and registrar statistics.

Example: https://dofo.com/registrant/[email protected]

Roadmap
This is our plan for near future:
  • Make user interface multilingual & add at least 10 languages
  • Add trends pages
  • Add domain extension pages
  • Add registrar pages
  • Add user login feature
  • Add domain follow feature
  • Implement a more powerful Domain Name Language Detection (DNLD) algorithm
  • Implement a smarter "Similar Domain Names" algorithm
  • Create a mobile app

Currently, not all whois history we have shown on dofo.com. We will add billions of whois history data soon. ccTLD's are also not shown yet, but we will start to show them in a few weeks. After GDPR, we may remove the reverse whois and registrant information based features.

Note that: dofo is currently in beta. We are actively developing it. There are lots of bugs we are working on. We are releasing a new version every week.

Please share your comments and feedbacks. We examine any feedback of yours with utmost curiosity and definitely get back to you.

Thanks.

on behalf of dofo team,
Macit

Just realized it is mobile friendly. That is great!

I do have one suggestion. Especially on mobiles, using the slider for domain length and price can be a litte bit tricky. Maybe it would be good if it were possible to enter desired values instead.

Great Idea, I love the new update that lets us choose a specific price, before I was only able to budget $1-$1000 (quite the range).

This would be a WONDERFUL iphone app ;)

As for the site, its just about replaced all my other :) Very much into DoFo

It's a reasonably good website but lot of room for improvement.
Like is there a way to search for "A or B or C or D or E" keywords?
If you try to paste in a text string of 10-12 words, the website just hangs.
Also, the interface feels a little THICK as compared to expireddomains.net.
Also, is there a way to SAVE your searches?

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. You are absolutely right. We have already noticed that because we are also using dofo.com regularly. We will do this soon. (y)

Thanks for your message (y) Yes, there are still lots of things to make dofo.com better.

1. For keyword search, there isn't any option yet to search for "A" or "B". You can search for "A" and "B". What you are saying is a bit more complex thing.

2. Yes, you're right. We will look at this (the text string should be at most 63 characters).

3. :)

4. No, but you will be able to save your searches in the next versions.

Seems like a great tool. Would be better if there's an option for more/fewer results per page. Thanks.

We will add this option in the next versions, most probably at most in two weeks
(results per page: 25/50/100/250).

It was a great tool, after gdpr implemented all info's are hidden now.

you can show the domain history without any issue (I guess)

We are working on the new version of dofo.com, and we are working on the data we present without affected from GDPR.

It would make sense to display the number of characters (at the left side of the TLD's dot) of a displayed domain on the dofo.com - domain - info page.

Example:

https://dofo.com/toptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptoptop.top

We can see, that currently there is no number of characters displayed.

If a domain has 63 characters (which is the highest possible number of characters), like in the example above, then there should also be a hint that "63 is the maximum number of characters (at the left side of the TLD's dot)", something like:

Number of characters (at the left side of the TLD's dot):
63 (highest possible number of characters at the left side of the TLD's dot)

Then the visitor will know it without counting it.
