Hello. This is my first time I'm doing domaining as a hobby. I'm decently new to it altogether. Anyways how does the seller not get scammed? Escrow requires both people to accept to receive payment. Do I always have to go first in an offer? I am going to sell my domain huntinglasers.com
(If my question is dumb, I'm sorry.)

Hi

first, learn how to use the forums search feature

there you can enter any question or keyword phrase to get pertinent results.

still, if you are soliciting people by email or phone to buy your domain, then it is up to you, to set a price or have a price in mind.... before you make contact.

as the seller, escrow holds payment from the buyer, until domain is transferred and accepted by buyer.
then payment is sent to seller.
that process is also typical and in general to many domain marketplaces, like afternic, sedo, namejet, uniregistry, etc

when selling on your own, always get payment first, before transferring to buyer.
when buying, try to ensure the seller is legitimate owner, before entering negotiations.

imo....

when transacting with reputable people, safety is not an issue

As a seller Escrow, Payoneer ,Undeveloped are pretty safe platforms to use they have you covered I wouldn't reccomend PayPal unless transaction is small or you could afford to take the risk

I recommend undeveloped they close deals the fastest but they take 5% when you bring the lead but paying a little extra sometimes can give you peace of mind and that is priceless
