"Thanks for the email, we don't really need another domain, but I see the evaluation is ~$850, so can give you $450.00 for it, would that work?"

any suggestions how to react?

Frank, as others have said l, do a simple, well typed, sales pitch.

I would send something like this for mass emails:

Hello! We are currently selling the name “xxxxx” for a price of “xxxx”, we’ve decided to contact you before publicly listing it as we feel your company would use it best.

Please, contact me at xxxxxx or xxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks so much - Name here

This pitch sounds very very spammy to me. I mean, no offense, but it's word to word copy of tons of junk offers i delete every morning from my spam boxes. I doubt you can sell anything with such text, even if you have real gem.

I’ll send 100 emails, with a decent not annoying sales pitch and get 1 “not interested if i’m lucky
Isn't it too much ? I wonder if the mails are targeted enough. I understand quality names may appeal to a large pool of potential buyers but still.

Again I said thats for mass emails, Normally I personalize it a bit, but still keep it relatively short

Well with hunter.io I can send a ton at once so its not really too much work, but still I feel I should get at least more responses. 100 sent to 1 reply isnt an exact figure, I’ll test it today with some of my cryo names and see

Care to share some of these? Cause i get tons of spam but never word for word like you say this is. Compare that to Franks original outbound message, you can’t honestly say its not better. Its not all about how it sounds as well, its about how well its typed, what words are used and how, also, the first sentence of your email is also partially shown prior to even opening the message, so its good to have it be up front and no bs.

And @frank-germany as I mentioned earlier, I will record this info for you as I do it, I havent done a 100 email test with the same template, Usually I personalize my outbond emails as opposed to a mass email. I also dont actively track whats read/seen/clicked, but I will share that info with this next round emails

I always start with 'I apologise for contacting you out of the blue', and use words like 'this is a genuine offer'. You've got to include keywords that will get them interested, and avoid telling them that they must buy the name from you. Also, give them the impression that you have only sent the email to them, and you don't come across as a spammer.

I don't think it's a good idea to apologize first
but how are the results?

results = data
how many replys
how many sales per 100 emails

I don't outbound on mass - probably only send 10-15 emails/week. I focus more on research, and making each email count rather than the quantity of emails.

1-2 sales/week (outbound only)

What is the typical end price range after negotiations?
Do you include price or say "please reply back if you are interested"?
Do you call them too to make 1-2 sales week, do you include your phone number?

Thanks for the answers.

Just took a look at my outreach on hunter, Actually impressed! So with my “spammy pitch” I got 34 open emails out of 75 sent (some had had errors however from an invalid email) some have a good amount of views, and a couple replies. No sale but it makes me feel much better about outbounding. Didn’t realize I was getting so many to read it (even if it is just a quick glimpse)

the replies is all that counts
after open rate tells you it was not send to spam

what is the reply rate
what is the reply
and most importantly
what is your answer???

Thanks for the answers.

Average sales price is between $400/$500 (UK Names)
I always include a price that's realistic and one that I would be happy to sell (taking into account some small negociations)
No, never call unless they ask, and don't include a phone number.

I stopped doing outbound sales this week.
Potential Buyers just willing to pay at least $500 for each domains.
So if you have more junks that need to be sold, doing out bound.
If you have tons of quality names, have to wait for the real buyers.

People now think that domainers are the cyber thieves that stole domains, stock them then try to extort the buyers.
They don't know that how hard we tried, how much money we lost, how many time we spent.
They just see that we - who got this name - trying to get some bucks from them, due to the TradeMark they had, they think that they have full rights for a domain name.
Fucking those cows, fucking UDRP.
And i stopped doing out bound, just wait to real buyers come and pay.
