May be this coupon is region specific or is available for limited time use only?

I have used this code in past, but whenever I use this code now godaddy doesn't apply any discount showing a message:

"We have already applied best offers on your cart."

I have purchased a new DDC membership.

Where are you from? It's only been a couple of days since I bought a new DDC with that code? 11% discount is rather pathetic. You shouldn't be in such a rush when it's a large purchase like DDC. That's a lot of money you've left on the table. You should have asked here first.

Can anyone else confirm that CJCRMN35 has stopped working for them?

All right, CJCRMN35 is working now in an incognito window (guess something was wrong with cookies and cache).

However, it is still giving me 11% discount only. Here is a screenshot:



I have also used gdbb3696a and other codes mentioned in the thread. However they also give me 11% discount only.

If I change currency to USD, I get 12% discount. No major difference, a little variation probably because of currency conversion rates.

Changing location to US, UK also gives me 11-12% discount only.

I guess they track location via IP or some other method and then apply offers accordingly.

Update and Correction:

Price before taxes without code was: ₹8,159.00
Price before taxes but after coupon code was ₹6430.77

So I have actually received 21-22% discount (Godaddy doesn't show the percentages).

That 11% means nothing, because everyone gets that, coupon code or not. And I assumed that I have received 11% discount without calculating anything myself (stupid me).

Yeah. But you cannot judge this because you already bought your DDC. So this is a Renewal. You need to delete your DDC (which I don't recommend now). In order to find what the real discount would have been for a new purchase.

I was not signed in while testing CJCRMN35 code. Because then the cart will show me renewal prices as I have already purchased DDC couple of hours back.

Long story short:

I have actually received around 22% discount.
This 22% is the max discount I am getting on any code.
The checkout page is a bit confusing as it doesn't show discount percentage, only finalised amount.

But you only need a calculator to divide 1 number by another to figure out the actual % discount. It's not brain surgery. Then why did you say you only got 11% before?

JK. As I mentioned earlier, I rushed a bit and didn't calculate actual discount myself (and assumed it be 11%). I have made a correction to my original post.

OK. 22% is 100% more than 11%

I think it still works well for me.

Previous price: $119.88
Price after using the coupon: $85.72
The discount percent: ($119.88 - $85.72)/$119.88*100 ~ 28.5%

Don't know why they show Bundle 12% just below the price.

@daica85 - Yep. That was what @nitg16 was alluding to. That he was stoned, and couldn't do the math. So he quoted the discount figure quoted of 11/12%. My math works the same as your math

What is a tad interesting is you also show 12% discount at the top. But when I used the code it showed 35%, but only gave me 28.5% So there seems to be something going on behind the scenes with these discount codes (which I cannot figure out).

But too late for me. I'm good to go for 1 year already. I've almost bought enough domains on GD Auctions to break-even already

Lol, that was a joke.

That 11-12% discount is a marketing trick where they are basically telling us that we are getting a great deal. It applies to everyone, coupon code or not.

But yeah, that misleading discount percentage just below product price can create confusion.

Apologies for the misunderstanding. Perhaps, lazy might have been better, or no calculator at hand?

Tell you what. I don't get that small percentage, AT ALL. I think they should have calculated the percentage and put the actual 28.5% there would have been the best policy. It would tell us immediately what our % discount was without having to find a calculator. I hated seeing the 35% which I saw and the 12% you saw. Both are misleading and unhelpful.

I believe the 12% is based on the bundled additions - cash parking and domain alerts

So what is this 12% saying about those bundles packages exactly? As I said. I don't get it. And when I used this coupon, why did it show the original coupon rate there of 35% (but only got 28.5%, the same as the 12% also got 28.5% shown above).

GoDaddy is using its own in-house developed math.

The 12% has nothing to do with the coupon itself. The 28.5% that you're receiving from the coupon is a separate discount (and, imo, a bug due to the lesser discount). I'm just saying that the 12% bundle discount that they're quoting which as @nitg16 (https://www.namepros.com/posts/6727671/) mentioned is displayed even without using a coupon code is due to the "extras" that I mentioned in my previous post.

Looks like that is the case.

So when one discount is pre-applied without coupon code, any new discount percentage is not shown but still gets applied on the final amount.

Do your really need it? Most hosting companies offer them for free. Unless you are hosting at GoDaddy, of course
