Also - as a public service for everyone who purchased a .app name and need to forward to a lander:

Since there are no simple solutions currently available for domainers that do not have technical expertise I have decided to create this simple "App" to help you redirect your domains.

No charge or obligation. I pushed this out in a couple of days so it isn't pretty and it's not 100% done, but it works.

For .app domains to sell better - they first need be have a lander, right?

FYI: Email address is only asked for on signup to verify people dont abuse the system or setup multiple accounts in the case they are blocked for abuse. No email solicitations will be sent, only a verification email.

I am creating unique selling pages for them. Meanwhile this solved the Chrome problem.

In my basket on day one... it was $300 + to reg and same for renewal.... I hummed and haaaa’d and finally decided not to register it and I let it go.... It has been bugging me ever since... Was it the right move?

Not that much to miss of the name.
There are still better one word still yet to be registered.

Ya... sort of why I let it go in the first place, but Geo games usually hold good value in almost any extension so I’m having a little bit of remorse. ...

Did anyone develop their .app yet or are we're all waiting for a sale? I'm hoping for a sale but I do want to develop one to see how it would work out. Any developer recommendations? I want to turn one of my .apps into a local geo thingy to test out.

Go to Uniregistry (or another registrar) and put the domains in as if you were initiating a transfer... that reveals the renewal costs.
