As I learn more about domaining and how the professionals make money, I have been some what curious about where extensions other than .com and .net land in terms of value. I don't want to make the beginner mistake of over paying or wasting money on a different extension.
For an example let's say cognitive.business is available for the reg fee, cognitive.life is available for the reg fee as well. Most other extensions are taken with cognitive.tech available at a premium of $10,800. Some of the other extensions for this specific name are for sale by other domainers in the $20.000+ range.
Where would that place the value of the cognitive.app extension? The reason I ask, there are some other domain names in the .app extensions I've looked at that are available. Most or all of the other extension are not available for registration and there are sales of that specific domain name in namebio for varying amounts depending on the actual domain name.
Any help on guidance on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
