For the last 5 months I sold 4 domains that I was going to drop.

MelbourneRentalCars.com
ArcherySets.com
SearchMobileNumber.com
XMRPool.com

My Total Investment was $232.00 with revenue of $1758.00 and profit of $1098.00

Good sharing and you did a really good job.
It worth the $$$ because you already build it up. :xf.smile:

I had sold my domain backlinkfinder.com on Sedo for $800 USD back in 2010 just because it was an established website.

Great Idea
Did you listed them in domains or website category at flippa?

Great little blog you have going on there.

I could not find the listing pages for the mentioned domain names on flippa, as I wanted to study them upclose. Do you usually delete the listing after the sale ?

Please tell use those that end up for bad prices. Otherwise we might think this easy.

I am not quite sure what you mean, I mostly use flippa to sell domains, but I decided to try this strategy. I have sold only 4 websites at flippa and they are all mentioned above.

Here is my flippa profile and you can see

All domains only 4 websites

I've done the same thing with some of my names, although I've developed them intentionally not because I wanted to drop them.
But truth is if you build a website on your names 6-7 month before liquidating them, they will sell regardless how bad they are.

Easier said than done, but definitely worth the effort.

Definitely ... as I mentioned in the blog post, when you develop website, you do not sell only your domain, but you are selling your idea, your website and your domain. That's how you can get top price.

How many monthly traffic do we need before we could sell them?

Great achievement, but technically you sold websites, no domains.

You sold websites (even tho small), not domains.

Build a simple landing page to collect leads
Build an e-commerce website
Build a simple website
Build a Monero mining pool

Great achievement, but technically you sold websites, no domains.

Actually I invested in those domains to sell as domains, but when the things aren't working as you think, you look for other ways.

Technically you are right. I just wanted to share my story that you do not need to drop your domains, but that you can develop websites and sell them as websites.

From my own lazy perspective that's at least 6 month. But if you go down the rabbit hole and master the thing I'm sure you can shorten that time spectrum drastically.
