Quite rare to see two words from different languages selling at xx,xxx
Again the gap between mycomputer.com and myordenador.com is obviously huge
Anyone an "opening" between English and Spanish can give a nice entertainment to the brandable space.

English word + Spanish word - how many experienced domainers would even handreg such a domain? I wouldn't. From some ten years of Spanish domaining with only a small number of $1500+ sales, this sale is probably like ten standard deviations from what one would normally expect for such an odd combination. But if you don't ask....

It's not about Spanish vs English and looking at the two like completely different sets of communication.

Many Spanish speaking people in the U.S. speak a version of "Spenglish" where they switch back and forth from Spanish and English without even thinking about it. So a phrase like "My Tienda" makes sense. Especially because there are many Spanish owned convenience stores in the U.S. that call themselves a "Tienda".

I'm not saying that a $10k sale price for this domain is obvious, but it does make sense.

Also, it's Mike Man bros. He owns xxx,xxx domains and almost always asks 5-6 figs for any inquiry. He has the numbers to support him in every financial and statistical way.

Nice sale Mike.

Rare for sure!
There seems to be some weight to this splash of words: (All developed website businesses using the same brandable concept).

Over the years I have sold a few domains with the "tienda" or "supermercado" keyword but only in the low $XXX range while others are priced reasonably but still no sale. Thus my comment that this sale is far beyond the norm. Newbies should not go nuts registering tienda domains anticipating a repeat performance.

I agree about not rushing...

What are your thoughts on Tienda (.io)?

One Word and taken in almost every extension and have crazy renewal prices.
Tech/electronic/toy store or maybe any product...?

Regarding Tienda.io my view is that while it is a nice keyword I do not believe you will find much history of Spanish aftermarket sales in .IO. Of course someone will post a list of exceptions just like they could for reported sales of any extension. A few fake sales by the registry out of millions of registered aftermarket domains is not going to generate a big payday for the average domain investor. Prior to 2012 I would have said that Spanish domain sales above $1500 were not common. Given Google's search engine algorithm changes since then plus a proliferation of new extensions Spanish sales over $799 seem far less common than say in 2010. Be realistic with pricing as five-figure Spanish sales are nowhere near the norm.

A Spanish business that wants to go global therefore needs the .com and will pay a premium for it.

Now if only selsa/es would go global (y)
Excuse the self promotion
