but here goes:

User posted a thread seeking out the owner of the domain name Vege.us as they wanted to buy the domain, our brokerage team reached out to the user in the thread asking what their budget was to acquire the domain. They replied stating they were willing to purchase the domain for $1500. They were only willing to use sedo.com for sale.

Our brokerage team went to work to get that domain for the user.

We acquired the domain from a “Iuga Petru Ovidiu” using our PayPal acct “I will be filing a dispute”.

After acquiring the domain and updating the contact info, we reached back out to the buyer here on namepros, they now changed their tune, said “we will reach out to the food company to see if they are still interested in vege.us”

Our reply was “you agreed on a purchase price and method, as per forum rules you are bound to this agreement. The buyers response was “ you didn’t tell me you were the owner of the domain so I don’t need to buy it from you”

Scammers like this on namepros? Come on guys, I don’t really care about the $400 as I will get it back through credit protection but it’s just bad business!

prima facie it appears @Daniel Capusan and “Iuga Petru Ovidiu” are the same entity. I saw the post and was wondering why op did not contact the owner of vege.us whose whois info was public, instead approached the forum for help.

People resort to desperation and scam to try and sell their crap. Even some Chinese Registrars are using scam to get people to register .cn. Too bad

We did not have it listed for sale on sedo, that’s another user. Not us. I personally am from Canada but have business roots in the USA.. so you cannot base anything on sedo or on my namepros portfolio

and why the domain is listed by a user from SEDO since 2005 ( that a lot of years) & you are from Canada

Domain was first registered in 2010. See: http://www.hosterstats.com/historicaldns.php?domain=vege.us

Domain expired and was again registered by Petru Ovidiu Iuga on May 05, 2018 (https://www.whoxy.com/vege.us), so as @Acroplex said above, domain is very new.

Since others are able to pull up complete whois details of the domain with no issues, I don't think it takes rocket science to get in touch with the owner and complete the deal. Instead you opened a thread here asking for someone to acquire it for you.

Either you owned the domain before @JudgeMind acquired it or are somehow related to Mr. Luga.

Also the domain isn't listed since 2005. The User who listed it on SEDO is active since 2005. Simple logic would have helped here.

Luga registered the domain on 4/26. The current update reflects its acquisition for $400 by the OP.

Yes, it smells like a typical scam, and a variant of the evaluation certificate kind. What are the odds that two Romanians were after an obscure .US domain?

Keep in mind .US domains have no WHOIS privacy. So their contact information was publicly available.

I open a thread if anyone know the owner of Vege.us here on Namepros (not mandatory to buy it)
& based of what you see on SEDO (owner is from USA) because we only via SEDO ( i explain that to JudgeMind) ...and recived few PM from some members that tell me the owner is thisMr.Iuga (they look on whois as we do) and tell to members is a mistake/probably a error in whois

sorry but i am from USA as you can see in my profile, yes of course i have a romanian name because i establish here when have 3 year's

1. If you are going to use SEDO only, why didn't you bid on SEDO itself?
2. If you can look into Whois and see that the domain owner is Mr. Luga. Why didn't you contact him directly? Why do you need someone from NP to know the owner?
3. What error in Whois? I see it plain and simple that Mr. Luga owned it before @JudgeMind bought it.

And all this crap will become worse after the GDPR kicks in. Right now we can at least look up WHOIS and determine what is going on, and use common sense to avoid scams and to alert others.

Because we do and say is not the owner otherwise why to refuse what offer for domain aprox $1000

The "true owner" you were looking for was listed at the WHOIS. You call yourself a "premium domain name seller" and can't WHOIS a .US domain?

This is funny you sold blockchainbet.com on NameJet, and failed to fulfill the transaction.

Then you claimed it was stolen from your godaddy account, and failed to fulfill the transaction. I asked you if I should warn the community, you said no no no, you wanted to handle it internally. I contacted my godaddy rep, he had no info on it, I contacted the current owner, and they were very open in communicating, and said this was the first they heard of it, so I find it very ironic.
