The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. It was another good week for the domain aftermarket with a wide range of solid sales on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart but the spotlight was stolen by an uncharted blockbsuter sale that was the biggest, by far, of the year to date. Though .coms dominated the leader board as usual the non .com gTLDs also had a lot to celebrate with that group posting two sales that rank among the year’s 10 biggest in that category. You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2018/20180509.htm

Also new at DNJournal this week is our latest Cover Story: What’s the Big Idea? Erik Bergman Explains Why He Spent $900,000 for Great.com. It is the story of Swedish entrepreneur Erik Bergman who, at age 30, has enjoyed more business success than the vast majority of us will experience in a lifetime. After taking his company public (with a $200 million valuation) Bergman's dream had come true - but the euphoria didn't last. Feeling uncomfortably unfulfilled Bergman decided he wanted to do something more with his life than just make money. You will learn why he picked Great.com for a new project he intends to spend the rest of his life on.

I've followed DNjournal for 10 years. Love the weekly reports and the cover stories. One thing I don't get with this story, why don't Erik mention the industry he was involved with? It's all very cryptic.

Edit: Somehow I missed this, when first reading the cover story: From doing a little bit of everything to focusing 100% on online casino affiliation."
