Hello,

I am looking to see if anyone has a good rule of thumb to follow when selling common word domains or short domains like AB.com ABC.com

Lets say I own Happy.com (I don't, Walgreens does). If you look it up on WIPO, there's over 25,000+ trademarks for it. Does this mean I risk losing the domain to a UDRP if I contact one of those trademark holders to sell the domain?

I'm just unsure what the best course of action to take when soliciting a domain that has hundreds or thousands of trademark holders and is a common word?

Hoping to get your guys' thoughts on this, thank you.

For these domains you don't contact them, they contact you. Don't let it resolve if you think it will have problems, don't buy it if you can't afford to lose it. Try to sell it for more than you bought it for.(y)
If you're holding, contact a broker and/or domain lawyer imho, hard to tell potential outcomes without the domain in question.

Highly unlikely, but without knowing the domain, can not guarantee.

If your domain(s) are truly generic, your best bet would to auction on Flippa, Namejet etc. if you wish to liquidate quickly, or simply sit and hold until the right end user contacts you.

Best of luck my friend. (y)
