I have a domain name that i am not currently using..
It has lots of visitors it had 80k hits since beginning of 2018
but i don't really use it so it doesn't really has value for me.
I found a trademark that has a country extension of exact same name
they are a well known old company

I honestly think that if they own this domain name , it will be very helpful for their business
but i don't want to be a defined as a domain name squatter...
because i am not.

I would like to find that line between intention of helping someone , and not giving away my asset to them for free because i have such intention

If i contact them and say that i am able to give my domain name to them,In case they have a reasonable offer ..

And by offer i am not talking about a crazy offer to rip them off, but rather something
reasonable that has at least the potential value of my domain name
like 50% of what estibot estimation

Would that be domain name squatting?
What is your opinions and what would you do if you were me ?

Thank you

Don’t contact the trademark holder. Ever. If they come looking that’s another story.

Okay,

I assume the traffic is bots. Not people. Probably worthless. Post your traffic data if you believe it is real.

Businesses don't buy domain names because we "think they would be helpful to their business". Doesn't work like that.

What you are describing is outbound marketing of the domain. Since you said the domain doesn't have value to you, then you have nothing to lose. If they wanted the domain, they would have inquired or come after it.

Sounds like a dead end. Send them an email and see what happens. You have nothing to lose.

What you have described above is the very essence of domain name squatting!

Thanks , do you have any reason why?
I should never contact them?
