Leading domain brokerage firm Media Options has completed the sale of Heart.com, according to the latest WHOIS data. The domain was owned by Blucora Inc, a NASDAQ listed company that provides Internet-related services and financial solutions, according to the company’s website.
Heart.com has been offered for sale through the Media Options newsletter in the past, with a buy-now price of $499,000. However, Media Options confirmed recently via Twitter that the domain had been sold. The tweet read:

The name had been used by Blucora, formerly InfoSpace, to host various sites relating to the heart, heart health and other relevant information. According to Archive.org, Outpost Network Inc owned the domain before merging with InfoSpace. Blucora looks to have sold InfoSpace’s search business recently, but has held on to the domains.
The domain only ever displayed basic sites, which likely drew in large amounts of traffic thanks to search and direct visitors. The name also appeared to be forwarding to a Dogpile search page at one point in time, another InfoSpace property.
Aside from Heart.com, Media Options is brokering a number of other domains currently owned by Blucora, including valentine.com, author.com and aprilfools.com.
The buyer of Heart.com is currently unknown. The name doesn’t resolve to a web page yet, and the WHOIS shows DNStination Inc as being the registrant. DNStination is a proxy provider for MarkMonitor, a brand protection and domain management service, whose clients include Microsoft, Amazon and Facebook.
It's an incredible domain, and it will be interesting to see what the name is used for in future, and who it's owned by. Hopefully that will all become clear in the not too distant future, although a sales price will probably remain unknown.
Update on Mar 22, 2017: @MediaOptions has confirmed the sale of Heart.com to iHeartMedia, Inc. (which owns iHeartRadio) and said "it was a great sale and a great purchase for the buyer."
