I have seached " i " on godaddy and find these strange domains.
And thinking why they are selling as premium and on so high price.
As its not having .com in it.

As i know domains without .com also sells on very high
price also, and its also ok, that they have paid extraa money to list it on the premium

i.ink = 6000$
i.futbol = 4000$
i.actor = 4000$
i.sydney = 10000$
i.zone = 1000$
i.international =500$
i.schule = 250$
i.associates = 1000$

Two thing comes in my mind,

1. How these comes on so high price..
Is they listed on auction before...or there owners had already set a fixed priced for there domains.

2. Second this is, that as the price is listed suppose under i.futbol for 4000$.
so under the price listed its also mentioned that
" 4000$*/yr when you renew"
so it means, that domain has to renew on the same amount.

Like if it becomes 1 million dollar domain, then in order to renew it back after one year, a person or owner we can say, has to pay 1 million in order to renew it again.

********** HOW & WHY THEY ARE SELLING SO HIGH*************
********** What u think running in the mind of owner, while buying these domains.**********

Answers will be appreciated.
thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
That just means that the owners are listing the names for sale for those prices, it doesn’t mean they will eventually sell for that much

Actually these kind of domains not for sale by domainers.
Respective Registry selling them and will renew at huge renewal fees.
By this way these Registry can survive in long term by competing .com

thx my brother, you mean to say, these are only giving there domain ads on the top position by listing on the premium ad.
it may be useless in the market, they can set any price- millions also and place the ad, but noone is sure, that will sell.
AM i right, this is what ur tryin to say.

You mean to say , registrars (Godaddy, name cheap etc etc) placing these ads as pemium ad , if somoene will buy then they get huge profits, and this will remian continue.. until the domain runs, and they keep themself alive in these competitive market.

i hope im getting it right, what ur tying to say

GoDaddy NameCheap are Registrars
You / Me / All all are Registrants.
And those who invented these TLD (.Ink / .Zone etc.) are Registry.

Registry makes money by selling / renewal Premium Names.

For eg:

Top Level Design is Registry of .INK
Donuts is Registry of .ZONE

You're off to a good start by reading and asking questions instead of buying names! Keep it up.

I'm sure most news websites have a technology section, and there are also sites like TechCrunch that focus on those things a bit more.

You have to be careful with investing that way, though... I'm sure you could lose a lot of money buying domains for technologies that either never become mainstream, or take 20+ years to become relevant.

Really refreshing to see a newcomer come in and ask questions and wanting to really learn the business. Kudos to you for that.

In regards to upcoming tech trends and such, best thing to do is read various trusted sources.Here are just a few examples, but of course there are many others, use Google to search for things like "upcoming tech trends 2018" or 2019 or such.

https://www.coindesk.com/ - Cryptocurrency, bitcoin related news
https://www.techcrunch.com/ - General tech related
https://www.forbes.com/ - Good also for tech, finance sectors

Here are some useful Namepros posts to help you out in regards to domaining:

Short domains, especially 1 letter ones, have an inherent value that is going to exist whether or not it is .com
Not to mention the fact that many other TLDs are growing and soon will be a popular go-to for the people of the world.
