What's the difference between Hillary Clinton and Vladimir Putin?

Putin can win a rigged election.

I thought the answer would be Putin doesn't need a side pillow

Or Putin doesn't need a crooked foundation, he just takes the money

Or Putin doesn't mind going to Wisconsin

I'd love to compare this and your post about President Obama calling Putin after his election during the invasion of Ukraine.

It was before Ukraine. And before they started backing Assad’s genocide. And before Flight 17. And before interference in US elections. And before a chemical weapon attack on British soil.

It was also shortly after some positive steps in the US/Russia relationship. so putting it in context, it was a different situation.

As far as expecting Trump to confront Putin about the UK spy poisoning during a re-election congratulatory call, that's like announcing your engagement at someone elses wedding. Not exactly classy!

It wasn’t supposed to be a congratulatory call. Of course he won the election - he rigged it so his strongest opposition couldn’t run. After seeing to it that навални was ineligible to run, nobody else on the ballot stood a chance,

Regardless, this should serve as a wake-up call that either he’s not getting, not comprehending, or he’s ignoring his security briefings. That’s very troubling, and at the end of the day it places our entire country in jeopardy.

Aside from a government killing someone (who they had allowed to leave their own country) on foreign soil , UK citizens were harmed in that assassination attempt. That’s unacceptable and as an ally the US needs to take a firm stand.

Please remind us what those positive steps were? All I remember is a clumsy reset.

Let's put his call in the larger context of Obama calling to congratulate Iran's president, and congratulating Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

Surly you and @Kate were upset about something Obama did?

How about congratulating a brutal communist dictator, Raul Castro? Anything?

I don't believe either Kate or I have ever claimed Obama was perfect. But he's not President and not the subject of the current conversation. And if you didn't like things he did, why not hold his successor to a higher standard?

Kate's outrage is one sided and so is yours. What about holding people to the same standard?

If you or @Kate ever have an argument based on facts, not emotion or a nihilistic view of the world, I'd like to hear it.

Another budget buster heading to the President's desk without money for the wall but lots of money for abortion and lobbying by PP.

How do you vote on a 2K page bill with less than a week to read / debate? Past time for new Republican leadership in the Senate.

But he's not President and not the subject of the current conversation.

This is a political thread, not a Trump thread, or a Trump-Bashing thread like you, Kate and JB like to make it, every single day! The level of respect, you three, show to the office of the president, which is none, is abhorrent! It's what makes liberals so special!

If the conversation is about cooking with zucchini, its off topic to keep mentioning raising beef cattle...or trying to compare the two...

The level of respect, you three, show to the office of the president, which is none, is abhorrent!

I deeply respect the office. Which is why I'm critical of the behavior of the current occupant. Who on a daily basis demonstrates a lack of respect for the dignity of the office he holds, the people he was elected to govern, the rule of law, the constitution, the free press, or for that matter pretty much anyone except himself.

Appreciate that we can criticize those who govern in this country - there are countries where that will get you thrown in jail or killed. You are equally free to make your own criticisms.

And I am not a liberal. I'm a moderate.

I don't want to beat a dead horse but I will. "no longer president" doesn't give you a pass on double standards.

Obama's administration used fake opposition research to spy on Donald Trump's campaign and transition team. Former head of FBI stated publicly that Brennan and McCabe likely committed felonies. Comey tried to cover his ass instead of enforcing the law.

If DOJ empowers a special investigator to make public what has happened, a lot of Obama cabinet members could be facing prison. Brennan's not mad, he's scared. Their best hope is Muller finds something unrelated to "Russia" to disrupt Donald Trump's presidency.

No-one is talking about Zucchini, or attacking President Obama. We're comparing YOUR statements then, to your statements now regarding similar situations.

You're not a moderate. You attack President Trump personally on a regular basis. You rarely have a policy argument.

Oh yeah, the porn star. To salacious to pass that up. It's like liberals can't remember anything before Jan. 2017.

You're not a moderate. You attack President Trump personally on a regular basis. You rarely have a policy argument.

1) I didn't make any statements "then"
2) I criticize the behavior of the current occupant of the Oval Office which is often unseemly and unbefitting the dignity of the office. This is my right as an American citizen. it does not have anything to do with my other viewpoints on policy.
3) When you label people you are talking to, you are no longer listening to them as an individual. You have a particular stereotype of "liberal" and have lumped me into that category. You react emotionally to everything I say without actually thinking and discussing. I may as well be talking to the wall.
Peace, out.

Dowd resigns as Trumps WH lawyer. This would mean Trump wanted to go in a different direction than Dowd wants which could be scary (like firing Mueller) Trump would be in a mess even he couldn't handle if he fired Mueller

Another heart warming story of the left losing their mind!

In one day, 300 people left one star yelp reviews for a great DC restaurant after a fake news story about Ivanka banning some chef from a private party he wasn't invited to at that restaurant. Yelp had to shut the restaurants reviews down to fix all the lies left by liberal flamers, trying to ruin the restaurants business because a chef tried unsuccessfully to crash a private party. Really disgusting behavior by the left!

Oh my, Trump supporter tears are flowing today.

Surly you and @Kate were upset about something Obama did?

Surely, you know how to use NP search? Kate has spoken out against Obama many times, we've even had disagreements in the past. Use search function.

This is a political thread, not a Trump thread, or a Trump-Bashing thread like you, Kate and JB like to make it, every single day! The level of respect, you three, show to the office of the president, which is none, is abhorrent! It's what makes liberals so special!

More tears. Respectful people get my respect. Like I said, if Kasich was President, this would be a pretty dead thread. And again, Trump is President, he's going to be talked about just like Obama was talked about when he was President. You didn't see me crying about all the Obama threads.

You're not a moderate. You attack President Trump personally on a regular basis. You rarely have a policy argument.

He's President, he does a lot of dumb shit. Instead of you guys crying about it, you do realize you can start topics on all the good things he's done. Why haven't you guys done that? Is it hard to find stuff? You guys are pretty much admitting he's a disaster with the begging, oh please, don't talk about Trump stuff. And if people post stuff about Trump you don't like or disagree with, debate the point. Trying to change the subject is just admitting defeat.

What triggered you guys today? Let me catch up on some topics. Was it this?

John Dowd Resigns as Trump’s Lead Lawyer in Special Counsel Inquiry

"WASHINGTON — President Trump’s lead lawyer for the special counsel investigation, John Dowd, resigned on Thursday as his strategy for cooperating with the inquiry grew increasingly at odds with Mr. Trump’s desire for a more aggressive posture."

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/22/...ump-lawyer.html?smid=tw-nytpolitics&smtyp=cur

"UPDATE: 4 defense attorneys at different large law firms have been approached to join Trump's legal defense team in recent weeks. All 4 turned him down."

More chaos, walls are closing in?

Is it Biden fear?

Is it -
Stormy Daniels' lawyer demands Trump's company and banks preserve records
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...ands-trump-org-banks-preserve-records-n859076

Is it Trump not getting the Wall he promised? I told you earlier, not going to happen, doesn't have the votes.
It's all Congress's fault! White House says it can only build 33 miles of new border barriers because Democrats refuse to give them money for the whole wall Trump promised
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ngress-paid-33-miles-new-border-barriers.html

Is it Kushner issues? Trump actually said he was the guy the was going to bring peace to the Middle East, lol.

Retired general tears into Kushner: 'Simply outrageous' he is leading representative of US

Is it the Stock Market going down because fears of Trade War and Trump doing those dumb tariffs?

Seems like a normal Trump day, mess after mess.
