It could be, or something similar. Thou shan't get defensive, but it would be childish to assume anything but the bests from MapleDots. In any case, however, these acquisitions fascinate me. It's a vicarious experience for all of us!

In other Canadian news - shoo snow, I woke up snowed in this morning! I wish I'd spent some interest free qash and flown elsewhere - ideally tropical and warm to open the pores while snacking on some yellowfin served on planks.

Now, that would make me happi! :)

This is pretty clever @Secured ! Thanks for sharing!

Reading it was a vicarious experience for me, felt kind of snowed with all the great names, maybe cause I felt defensive and childish, fearing that all the ca sales had flown elsewhere, but overall the experience made me happi!

Bob (ps particularly liked happi!)

I don't know anything about either, but they do both have reports in this - it seems that Domain Brothers report the ones under $10k and Email the others.

I checked the about for Domain Brothers, and they say it is Kartik Mehta and Jay Mehta. I can find a street address, but no names on the about for the other.

Has anyone tried selling with them?

I just listed some domains with Domainbrothers but no on answers the phone - is it truly just a 2 man show?

Has anyone had success in listing with DomainBrothers?

Are they known for front-running their own domains, or do they give external submissions equal mind-share?

I think I sent them my domain list too.. they replied its accepted so I guess my domains listed there too.

but I wouldn't hope for much. .ca is still a hard sale.. and unless you own something that's on @MapleDots wishlist, you may end up waiting a while for a sale ;)

cheers

You nailed it - that wishlist is like a pink unicorn, though. Who knows what's on it!

I don't have red, maple, or perfect, but I do have something similar :).

I will say, 10% is very reasonable, and they have made some notable sales in the past. I wonder what their network is like, and whether they're actively pursuing high-value endusers.

I have multiple bids out on platforms for 10k on .ca's and I'm not even being answered.

I start the bids at 5k, if I hear nothing I move to 10k, if I still hear nothing I cancel the negotiation. If they don't even want to entertain the notion of starting a negotiation then so be it. I just move on to the next and hopefully they are willing to take my 5-20k.

Right now I have set 20k to be my max opening bid but for the correct domain I could be convinced to go higher. Problem is all the people sitting on their thumbs, you cannot sell if you don't at least start a conversation.

I don't know about you guys bit I will return an email to anyone offering 5k on a secured platform. Least I could do is respond and say... thank you but I'm looking closer to 75k for that one. At least that tells me where we stand.

Honestly.... I get more responses when I bid 5k on a .com, most of those guys at least get back to me.

I prefer to get a response saying whatever to a dead silence. When that happens I just put the domain on my dead list and move on. Right now there are 92 domains on my dead list with no response to an offer.

Mind you to be fair, some of those are sweet domains but all they had to do was initiate a conversation to say.... hey good start... lets focus on xxxxx to start.
