I hope somebody takes ownership of maintaining the quality of information and not a place to dump domains for sale.

Rodolfo Rosini enters VC, joins AI and machine learning accelerator Zeroth.ai as Partner
He’s joined Zeroth.ai, the Hong Kong-based AI and machine learning-focused accelerator, as a Partner — a move Rosini tells me was inspired by the technology’s potential to drive “exponential growth” and his own learnings having founded three AI startups of his own, albeit with limited success.

.AI – THE DOMAIN OF THE FUTURE, TODAY
The future is already here! It’s now easy to register one of the most popular domains for startups and artificial intelligence companies. That’s right, .ai is now available from Namecheap— for the lowest price anywhere.

Why Register .AI Now?
With the recent push for innovation in the artificial intelligence and machine-learning space, top companies like Amazon and Google are branding their AI ventures using the .ai domain name. Demand for the .ai TLD, which started out as the local domain for Anguilla, has skyrocketed in recent months.

There are still many high quality .ai domains available to register, but they are going fast—so the time to get involved is now!

You will see .ai appear on Namecheap’s domain search as an additional TLD whenever you search for the price and availability of a domain.

Transfer Your .AI Domain For Free!
If you’re already ahead of the curve and own an .ai domain, we’ll reward your forward thinking by letting you transfer your .ai domain to Namecheap for FREE! This means you will benefit from our renowned domain management platform and excellent customer service.

Get Some Inspiration
Many companies have chosen .ai to power their world-class brands. Check out self-driving car companies drive.ai and pony.ai—both prime examples of industry newcomers jumping onto the .ai trend. They join Internet giants Amazon, Microsoft, and Baidu, who already have their own .ai domains. Even Google uses an .ai domain for its artificial intelligence division: google.ai

With music.ai recently selling for over $100,000, there is serious money being invested in this relatively unexploited TLD.

Artificial intelligence startup Peritus.ai has raised $2 million (Rs 12 crore) in funding from early-stage venture capital firm Ideaspring Capital and early-stage fund The Hive, a company statement said.

The firm will use the money to strengthen its development team in India, it said in the statement.

Based in California, US, Peritus.ai Inc. was founded by Santhosh Srinivasan and Kamesh Raghavendra in 2017 with support from The Hive, which incubates startups and focuses on applications of AI in the enterprise segment.

“We are looking forward to help from Ideaspring for support in building and guiding our development team in India,” said Srinivasan, co-founder and vice president for engineering at Peritus.ai.

The company automates professional services, support delivery and incident resolution for data centres. It leverages recent advancements in AI to automate and customise end-to-end service workflows. It also proactively predicts support needs and incident features from patterns mined across product designs, past incidents, configurations and log data, the statement said.

“Data centre growth over the last 15 years has created significant growing pain in data centre management. Tasks that once could be done manually by IT teams have hit the limits of scalability, cost, and efficiency and Peritus is solving that by automating it,” said Arihant Patni, managing director, Ideaspring Capital. The company claims that its solution reduces the support requirement by two-thirds.

Godaddy to follow namecheap and become a .AI leading registrar?
AI Podcast: GoDaddy Takes AI to New Domains
A good domain name is about more than just clever wordplay and search engine optimization. It’s also about the value that it has and could have in the future.

GoDaddy, the internet domain registrar and web hosting company, is using AI to help its users understand the worth of their website domain names.

“In the last year and a half, we’ve been using deep learning to try to model this market for domain names, and predict what a domain name will sell for,” said Jason Ansel, senior principal engineer at GoDaddy. “And our deep neural network is currently about 25 percent better than a human expert.”

As a result, GoDaddy can give small players in the market advice about what to ask for, or if they’re buying, it can give them confidence that they’re getting a good value.

By using deep learning to predict the value of domain names, Ansel says GoDaddy hopes to democratize the market for them.

“If we make it easier for people to participate and act intelligently in the aftermarket, then you can start seeing regular people start investing in domain names and viewing domain names as an asset class that they add to their portfolio,” Ansel said.
