http://newvcorp.com

March 08 th
I bought a domain name through Sedo at BUY NOW price (877 USD)
The seller is New Ventures Services
The domain is a fresh reg (creation Date: 2018-02-09)

I've sent the money to Sedo. Everything's fine

March 12th
Transaction cancelled by the seller !
Sedo mentioned : As the seller is not or no longer the owner of this domain, he is not authorized to sell it.

Well. I checked out the WHOIS : the owner is still New Ventures Services.
I've sent an email to New Ventures Services and asked if the domain is for sale.

Quick reply: Yes... $2077.00 USD

Thank you for contacting New Ventures

well the shocking part is that sedo didn't do a simple whois like you did before making their statement

why don't you give the hell for it... and ask for banning the seller for providing false info (which i assume is what he did)... or force him to sell.

wait a few years and maybe they will drop it

Emphasis is my own:
It is a shady domain holding company tied to Network Solutions/Register.com.

They just cherry pick what expired domains they want to keep, and then take them without letting them go to auction or delete.

Brad
New Ventures Corp (NewVCorp) once took possession of a domain I was supposed to have won the rights to through Snapnames. When I complained to Snapnames, they told me that it was standard for NewVCorp to "hold" expiring domains for a few weeks before the domain was transferred to the rightful owner. I didn't buy it then and don't buy it now: if some third party had come along and made NewVCorp a solid offer for the domain, there is no doubt that they would have sold the stolen goods.
Although we all know NewVCorp is NetSol/Web.com's warehousing company, but from this email I can see NewVCorp listed it and approved this sale and tansferred it to me.
If you own domains at Web.com, Network Solutions, Register.com, and Yahoo! Small Business, be sure to keep a wary eye on your digital property.
The above registrars have been known to transfer domains, without your permission or even knowledge, to a domain warehouse called New Ventures Services Corp. Some of these domains have expired, but some have not –
Some have just been plain hijacked, mostly from small business users and personal website owners, often ordinary people who have scant knowledge of the domain business.

Yes, I happens to me, Network Solution transfers my domain ownership to New Ventures Services Corp
while the register name still active, not expire. It has more than one year time. They want to sell it back to me for $2000.00 plus. They charged to listed with them then sell it back to you.

Network Solutions - New Ventures Services Corp stole my domain

Had a crazy day today.

Less than a year ago I purchased a domain for $13,500. The domain was registered at godaddy. In October I transferred the domain to network solutions with 14 months remaining on the registration and I added another two years.

This morning I was on the phone with network solutions for an issue and noticed that the domain was no longer in my portfolio. After talking to support, I was told my credit card was declined for the two year registration. I was never notified of the problem and the $10 charge for transferring the domain did go through, but the two year registration seemed to be lost in limbo and never appeared on my card. I've had several network solutions charges on my card go through since that date.

I was told the domain was "deleted" due to the failed charge and someone had registered it. I quoted the word deleted, because the domain wasn't deleted. It was transferred to New Ventures Services, Corp who wanted $8000 to return the domain. No history of the domain going to pending delete/delete.

I checked with my issuer and there was never an attempted charge on my credit card for the amount they claimed. There has never been a point in the last year that my card been near maxed out and charges have been applied since Nov 17th when they stole the domain.

After an hour of yelling at a rep then a manager for over an hour and the very real threat of a lawsuit they relented and put the domain back in my domain portfolio.

I've done a bunch of research today and it appears that New Ventures Services Corp is in some associated with web.com (network solutions)

I'm currently in the process of moving all my business off of network solutions.
SignetMonogramming.com STOLEN by Network Solutions

...and handed over to NewVCorp (Notorious New Ventures Services, a SHELL company owned by the Web dot com conglomerate).

Please note that this domain was NOT expired (the expiration date is TODAY, February 10, 2015); it is against ICANN's rules to steal unexpired domains and keep them for themselves and their shell companies.

Irene, the owner of SignetMonogramming.com, is NOT a domainer, but an end user, operating a business other than domaining. She is now using the .net version, which SUCKS big time because she will lose important traffic due to .com bleed.

Irene posted comments on both Scamful (my site, no ads) and Dot Weekly:

We can no longer stick our heads in the sand; it's mostly end users being ripped off, and they tend to just give up, given that they don't understand their rights or don't know how to proceed.

It's up to us -- mostly the bigwigs who seem to have more clout -- to bring such shenanigans out in the open.

I have been complaining for months about these crooks.

Response: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

well, maybe someone else listed it in sedo and let it drop. Sedo listing stayed in place at $877.

Now new wentures registrered it and wants $2077.

Its not rocket science.

How do you know ? Is this the name mentioned in the sales contract ?
More probably, it's an old listing, the domain dropped and remained listed at Sedo because buyers don't remove their listings.
Happens all the time.
NVS may not even have a seller account at Sedo.

On the other hand, if you have evidence that the name was indeed listed by NVS and that they backed out you can get Sedo to intervene for non-performance of sale.

Thank you all for your replies,

New Ventures Services is the seller name mentionned in the Sedo Purchase and Sale Agreement.
it's also the registrant name in the whois.
So I do not think it's an "old listing" in Sedo database.
