I think , maybe age ..plays a role in our 30's
To me +Game sounds more like 2 words put together .
Where +Cade sounds "cool " and is 1 word .

and the irony in this statement is that an arcade is very 80's... very old.. classic...def not millennial 30's

"If you had to come up with a domain/ company name that you think would be the best Brandable or version of a "holographic -hologram - Arcade/ game/tech based " company or brand " what would you call it ...what is the FIRST name or words that come to your mind"

2 different friends , 2 different days

1 same exact split second answer

((Holo*c*a*d*e)) 😎

Holo /tech// is keyword super Gem I know .

My gut and mind also tell me if and when any one or company decides brand with "holo" or create a holo game based company ".....I'm holding thee go to #1 best choice anyone's going to get . IMO of course!

Reaching for the stars with a rocket ....time will tell how far it goes .

And yea I do see what you mean by baseline starting point, but could work my way to comparing The two. Right out the gate is iffy

@DomainBarracksRob, I really like your thinking here... I think this is one of those situations where "art" meets "science" in the domaining world... Everyone knows "tech" is a killer kw, but it is much harder to suss out a super brandable name - Sometimes you just have to go with your past experience, intuition and gut. JMHO, but I think you have a winner in "Holocade" and I think your mid to upper $$$$ price point is right on the mark. (But, then again, what do I know... I regged "HoloFish" just 'cause I liked the way it rolled off my toungue! ;))

sounds like you may be better off selling that name to your two friends :-D

may i play devils advocate for a moment

.. keeping in mind i have already stated that i also like the name a lot so i'm not working against you...

holoCADE is... what?.. in my mind, this is for a holographic arcade, yes?
now, unless there's a different arcade than what i know... an arcade is basically a building or a place where all sorts of coin operated games exist.. this was very big in the 80's.

so.. if there ever IS a holo Arcade... the only way this name would be something in the area of five figures is if this holographic arcade became franchised... with that said... and i'm asking because i don't know... are there many franchised arcades?

if that answer is no, or not many... i'd probably be a little more realistic with the expectations

You make a great point and is a good way to look at . I honestly don't know ..what I do know is that the VRgame centers are poping up all over ...everyday .

It's not vr , but imo holo + Cade sounds better the VR + Cade .

MS already has Hololens........

It only takes one company like " Sony " to get in the holo brand wagon and I think the name is a good contender in emerging technology market. Once again the cool slick easy to pronounce adds to its marketability. I'm not saying it's a winning lotto ticket ...I just think it has great potential .

As for Germany ... Holocade.de. is a site of just that ..a VR/holo game play center .

so... if you could...
... would you trade holoCade for holoGame?

I honestly would not. If rather keep Cade .

Doesn't mean I would like to have both 😉

oh dude... this would be a huge mistake on your part (if it were possible)
... holo/game will be worth ten times as much as holocade any day and in any country
honestly, this really sin't even all that close either

Thanks @NamesBond also great getting all these kind of positive response from you veterans in the game .

Yes ...hence way I REFUSE to even think of submitting it to BB 😂. It would be funny to see their appraisal or even more funny if they rejected it ...I fall out my chair lol.

Gotta agree with this sentiment... In Vegas, or anywhere, you ALWAYS take the sure money, and the "game" kw is certainly that... (But this said, I still like "holocade" and would have regged it myself if I would've thought of it back in the day when I was acquiring more conventional names like HoloPay, HoloNews and HoloStore, etc... DOH!)

If so it be one I'd have to live with , as that would be my honest choice.

You can get any (holo/game) you want on
ON (holo /cade). ...com, but please just download the (holo /Cade ) app first for $14.99 😉

stil have bunch of holo stuff left.. like I Said its hard choices for holo cause there is way more dropping and expiring.. decent stuff.. and left to reg.. than for VR.. like way more stuff! plus imo holo+hologhraphic+hologram all have their merits .. which complicates decision making what to keep :)

but.. can't keep them all.. so I'll be making so tough choices this year..

what would you guys keep on this list? any comments welcome:

ok.. look... i am going to compare your thought process with that of a musical artist that wants to get to the top but only to do it your way.. you don't want to 'sell out' because your music is what makes you you and creative and artistic and.. yada yada yada

but you're buying domain names for... the art?... or for the money?

If you'll forgive me a tangential observation, but the phrase "yada yada yada" is a "brandable" in itself... It didn't mean anything until some "artist" (writer in this case...) threw it into an episode of Seinfeld and it went viral and became part of the lexicon... (All by way of saying, IMO you've gotta take a chance on something that just sounds "good" every once in a while... besides, it keeps things interesting! :xf.grin:)

(But, yes, obviously if you lose sight of the "money" you won't be domaining for very long...;))

I get what your saying , and I'm still fairly knew to this than most of you.

I'm going to make mistakes ..and you probably are correct ..the +game will deff get more search volume and all.

Wether it's lack of info and or attachment to my name ...there no lying +game is GREAT!

The branding potential I see with my Cade ,may have me blinded idk ...or it's just a different way of seeing things ....sometime others sell thing for sums others never thought never possible and vise versus. Kind like the whole MM and cryptoworld sale ...I had followed the name for a while and watched his price increase ...expected it to sell , it did , others were shocked at the price and I , I said why not more .

If there's one thing I've learned while being here ......when it comes to a domain main name ( quality ) is the standard ,

but when one person Views a name ...we all become Artist , beauty is in the eye of the beholder . Therefor a name is the Artwork that continually changes based upon who is viewing it :) hence the Artist .

And of course quality always sells.

@DomainBarracksRob

i don't want you to think i don't like the name.. i have always stated i like the name.. personally, i like holotainment better (haha).. but as happy i am with that brandable - i would gladly, in a heartbeat - trade that in for holoTV - two words and not one 'new + cool' word like holocade

i GET what you are going after, but like Rod said earlier.. just temper your expectations.
comparing it to the holo-tech sale was a perfect example...that was a significantly stronger name that encompasses the entire industry whereas holocade, is technically a 'niche' market

in any event.. i wish you luck with it.

I stand corrected... "Yada" apparently goes at least as far back as the great comedian Lenny Bruce... (You learn something new every day! ;))

Above said, I do still believe there's an "art" to domaining, and it's okay to take a flyer on a brandable now and then... (Just so long as you don't make a habit of it...)

.

One of the tools to use is namebio/com, in this instance the word "game" has 2554 sales listed, in the case of arcade there is 88. Your name is a handy brandable but the term "game" is far more popular, (tech has 2569 results) I'm sure you can figure it out, go with the flow. As stated your name is quite handy but at least accept the picking order of things, good luck

So logic here says as @FUTRS tried to point out to me it WOULD be wise to swap Cade for game ..." Picking order " is a great way to put it ...for whatever reason it made it click . And namebio results make it clear what everyone here is saying !

So even if I did swap ....id have to do a bundle deal hahah

Thanks guys ...I see the light .

well.. look at the bright side...

you would NEVER have to worry about this scenario presenting itself to you anyway because whoever owns holo/game would never simply offer to swap your holo/cade for his name, most likely.... ever.
