This is the latest trending keywords for .COM and .NET.
After a long time, we have seen trending registrations move away from crypto to some normal keywords.
Are things getting back to normal? The hype seems to be consolidating, seeing this as the first signal in domain names.

What kind of domain names do you plan to invest for the next 6 months?

Crypto is missing because there is nothing good left to register . You will continue to see crypto trending in sales report

I think that crypto is missing because Verisign has a very strange method of calculation: it's not important the total number of registration, but how many times more domains were registered in a certain month compared with the last month. So, for example, if in december we had 5 domains containing 'hole' registered and in January we had 20 domains containing 'hole, that means that 'hole' is trending because it was registered 4 times more, month over month, it has nothing to do with a real trend. Crypto is not trending because in the last months there were lots of crypto related domains registered and it will be hard even to double that amount month over month. Most of these 'trending' keywords have a very low volume and in most cases, 90% of the combinations with the main 5000 keywords are available. I would expect more from Verisign.
