Do you think the reg price will be $20-$40-$80?I think it will probably do as well and be as sought after as all the other new extensions.
Have you ever pre registered a domain name?I have no idea. They say they will release that information later which seems like a shoddy way of doing business to me.
True. I just remember in the past when they released other extensions they auctioned off all the super premium ones so even if you pre-registered it you had to win auction to get it. I hope this is not the case on this one. thanksNo. There seems little point as only established extensions have weathered the storm. Even less when they won't even tell you what they're going to charge you. Also there is the worry that once you have a domain they suddenly slap you with a huge renewal on it.
What I've been reading about it is not everyone is going to be able to use it. There is going to be strict regulation on companies that use it and must pass strenuous security checks and protocol to insure the security of the .secure extension. Thanks for your replies.
I'm kind of a newbie in the domain name space but I think that the .secure domain name extension seems to me one of the most useful / relevant extension (there are many crappy ones).
I've also pre-registered several .secure domain names, but I'm not very optimistic about it and also fear something similar happening (auction-like system to get the domain even if you pre-registered).
