They can do much, much more, especially since they do not pay US Federal income tax.

Logging all your friends entries into your homes, storing your guests photos from the ring camera into a database in their cloud, face and voice recognition and selling the data to the NSA like Facebook. In 10 more years eliminating all small US business retailers, copying existing products that are those best sellers of their current resellers and have them made under private label in China. 7/11 may be a target too for retail. Wholefoods now they might even partner with Monsanto to grow more and “better” frankenfood, thanks to chemical and genetic engineering.

At least there are markets outside the US that are not yet effected. I walked into actual owner operated leather shoe shop today, to have custom soles made for a pair that are worn out, some places are like the 1950’s, it would never happen today in the states or at an affordable price.

What's amazing is Amazon is probably the most powerful company in the world when online U.S. sales only account for 10% of all U.S. retail sales. They are this massive juggernaut even though 90% of sales don't even happen online. Think about that for a second.

Amazon also recently acquired another home security type camera company, Blink.

From a domain name standpoint personally I prefer the domain name Ring to the domain name Blink.

Last year we purchased a Nest brand home security type camera, in Jan of this year we added a Ring home security camera and literally yesterday UPS delivered 3 Blink home security cameras.

Curious about the research and target market studies as regards each of the companies' domain name selections.

And all 3 brands are decent and performing as reasonably expected, indoor and outdoor, for their short time span in use here.

We were updating - adding to our home security / monitor systems and " went for " the apparent ease and location mobility of the newer small camera systems, plus overall are ok priced compared to other systems.

Two or three will be for exterior use and will show/record the various wildlife 'round here, the occasional domestic strays we try to assist and, provide live real time weather updates when we are away.

Obviously too, will show / record " the uninvited / unexpected person " .

While mobile their range is rather limited and are principally right around the house.

Have used and still do use trail cameras both for property security and all matters wildlife.
