I got an e-mail by a non GoDaddy registrar asking me to submit a request to opt in one of my domain names into Afternic listing service. The domain is listed on GD auctions. My questions are:

1. This can be legit?
2. It means that someone wants my domain?

Thanks

I kept looking into this and we were able to find a way to get it to not forward to the ssl automatically and sent up a ticket to the developers on it. Thanks everyone for all the screenshots and information you provided to help troubleshoot it. It certainly helped because I couldn't get it to do it on my end.
Thank you very much for taking care of it. It's very professional attitude by your side. At start, it was hard to decide from whom to ask for assistance. My first thought was "scam" but it was not. I got a 1st reply by afternic support and wait for the complete solution.

After all this, damn, I will definitely set for sale all my portfolio to afternic. :)

yes we receive requests from afternic to switch our DNS to them every few months with promises to sell names. we tried a few names without any sales leads or luck. they are just looking to get more names on their dns so they can control the leads for the name. another important reason to have your own domain store and remember to reply to offers. I cant express how important it is to show up to the table with a quick reply.

That's Afternic's Fast Transfer program. It facilitates the fast transfer of the domain name in case it is sold. This is only available with participating registrars

Update: After receiving relative e-mail, I will soon be paid by selling party! After that, I will reveal the price and the domain to domain sales section. What an adventure!

Don't forget to list your names there, It is highly recommended. Always check if your domain is previously listed and ask for fixing. Thanks again to Afternic support and to @Joe Styler personally.
