This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Regarding Canna/vation dotcom

The buyer initially said that they would prefer "CannEssence.com", they probably did a typo of "CannaEssence.com". I never realised this until now, maybe they also didn't realize this or they really wanted "CannEssence.com".

Anyways, I never owned CannEssence.com or CannaEssence.com so they wanted me to contact the buyer and the owner of CannEssence.com hasn't put a landing page and has privacy on the domain, I emailed the privacy email for them but never received a reply. I told them that they probably don't want to sell and that's why there is privacy. Then I sold them Canna/vation for $650.

I just checked out CannaEssence.com and it's for sale for $1795 at NameSilo, probably a NamePros user, you should contact Canna/Vation dotcom and see if they're interested.

You're welcome.

I assume you saying 33$ cost implies you held it for less than a year?

well nice job! that sure does make most of our sales look tiny!

you must have visited expired lists real quick after this became available.. domains like this get picked up very fast! enjoy the roi.

FMV/io $100 at flippa
Hand reged
FVR/io $105 at flippa
Hand Regged
DryPoint/com $250 at Undeveloped.
closeout for $19
(7 months ago I got 3 inquiries also got offer for $500 but negotiation cancelled.)
Today sold for $250 coz I need money for my wife's medical expenses...

Devils advocate...

You sold a "FVR" .io for $105...

I just don't see how someone selling .io domains for $105, and having it listed on GoDaddy for $2000, ends up with holding out for $50,000 instead.

Typically someone who has $50k to spend on a DN will do their due diligence and check the various marketplaces.

Many times someone will inquire about a domain, and the seller will quote an absurd price but have it on Afternic/Sedo for $xxxx - and the buyer will buy because they think they are getting a deal.

I'm not raining down negativity, but I will gladly be the first person to say this seems very odd.

Please take a few minutes to provide more than a few short lines of details on this. Thanks.

that was actually a valid point about reserching other markets by buyer prior to buying. and if he did so, then it'd not make any difference to buyer whether he's buying your listing or someone else's for 2k. cause he'd simply not know who is the owner at gd.

however, if you are saying you posted a not yet completed sale in a completed sales thread, then perhaps this explains why the 2k listing was left untouched.

I do wish you all the best in completing it though. fingers crossed.

in the world of domaining.. a 50k sale on a 1 year old handreg .. is like winning lottery in the real world.. and we all know how often lotteries are won! so getting this done would be awesome... for you especially.. but for all domainers too :)

@gbs domain I think its better to talk about a sale only when its completed.. Especially a sale this big.

I hope this goes through for you, but unfortunately I’ve had “too good to be true” offers through Undeveloped which I accepted right away and they turned out to be fake.

well... there is a bit more than just a subtle difference between 100 million and 50k ... but you did make a valid point... somehow you just don't get offers like this on say gd auctions... which is why I personally chose to avoid things like undeveloped and few others... the bottom line should be for all members.. and I know first hand with the excitement it can be hard to do.. to not post a sale until its completed... hence the title of the thread ;)

cheers and good sales and sails to all!

That is an amazing sale for an .io, only way to know if it is legit is if the buyer is credible.
