Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

I am in te middle of a vr domain sale mid 3 figures. I have send tonight +- 35 mails to potential buyers and received already within 12 hours 3 interested buyers. I could get more money out of it with a auction but one dutch buyer (i am also from Netherlands) reacted very fast and i like to sell to him.

I got an email today from Escrow telling me the buyer received the domains and they will disburse the funds to me shortly.

VRP***Discount(s) in king together for $450.

I have sold back in December VRP***Deals in king. The discount keyword is getting far more search volume compared to deals but the last couple of months the deals keyword is also rising in search volume. I have sold the domains to the owner of a big "red" site discount / deals related.

I don't expect to sell more domains anytime soon. Still have a couple listed at Sedo but most are under whois private protection. I need most of my vr domains for harvesting future traffic. It's been slow here in this thread the last couple of months and for a good reason because vr domain sales are far behind expectations. I will drop this year a lot of gambling related domains and i renew only domains with actual search volume... with just a couple of exceptions like my vrcasinobonus.com domain / website and just a couple of other gambling related domains. I have much, much more luck with another "established" money making niche.

Last VR acronym sale:
(Not mine)

vryr.com 701 USD 2018-02-07 Flippa

I do not see in this thread sales or offers, the thread is too quiet.

I have not received a single offer for some time. I'm starting to worry. Will the Virtual Reality market be deflating?

January and february are known as bad months, things should pickup in march.

Don't worry... Just the typical quiet after the initial hype, IMO... Also, to use crypto terms, I think many VR domain owners are now "Hodlers," waiting for stronger offers as the technology begins to mature... (In my case, I'm still getting weekly offers on AR/VR names, but I'm not interested in reseller pricing at this point...) Let's see if interest begins to pick up after Ready Player One comes out and the hype machine revs up again... ;)

I sold a keyword + "inVR" .com domain for around $800 via GoDaddy make offer. I may add the name to namebio when I have a chance.

Got a GD offer of $500 recently for a VR + good keyword .com. They didn't counter my low 5 figure counteroffer, unsurprisingly. Other than that, it has been really quiet.

Last VR acronym movements:

avr.net 510 USD 2018-02-08 Sedo
bvr.net 470 USD 2018-02-08 Sedo
vryr.com 701 USD 2018-02-07 Flippa

After lamenting the lack of offers in the last month, I received two. Let's see if they turn into sales with good ROI.

The offer of this niche is for V.R.L. dot co

Good hunting.

Overall, it's been pretty slow lately. I had about 8 offers since the start of the new year, but nothing to get too excited about. I also tried a test by selling off some names with very reasonable prices, but only sold a handful. I do expect sales/offers to increase though as VR will explode this year when Vive Pro comes out. Arcades are popping up all over the place too.

Hope you’re right!!

Congrats on your sales!

When you say you were testing the market with very reasonable prices, what kinds of prices do you consider reasonable?

Just finished renewing a few....including

VRCommunity dot org...

Not sure if the org’s are holding any value in the VR market but this name seemed to fit the extension so hopefully I’ll be able to let it go at some point
