I am confused.

Today was the 'search day', so in that searching (on GoDaddy bulk search) i found out that an interesting name (not .com) is available to register. Not to mention how i was surprised it is free to register. Yey!
And then of course i went to Dynadot to take that domain for cheaper price (3 times than at GD). And when i typed in the name - what!? - it says that name is already registered.
After that i went to Fasthosts - domain unavailable.
After that to Name.com - available as premium domain ($500+).
After that Enom - name is already taken.
NameSilo - available as premium ($500+).
Namecheap - not available but i can make an offer(???)
1and1 - available as premium ($700+)
Exabytes - domain is taken

Went to check whois and it says:
Registrar info: Pheenix inc
Registrant name: Another Great Domain caught by Pheenix!

So at the end i can register that domain at GD for normal price, but anywhere else it is either taken or available as premium.

Can somebody explain me why is this - like this.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Godaddy doesn't always check availability in real time. I don't know why they do this, but this is why I never use Godaddy to check if a name is registered. If you continue through the Godaddy checkout you will see it's not available, at least not at normal price. Some registrars have partnerships with marketplace networks so you can buy them at the price the seller sets including any extra cost or commission each registrar adds to the purchase.

Thanks for the info. Until now i didn't have 'problem' like this.

Weird thing is that it shows normal price with domain in the cart. And that's good.

I'm aware of that and introduced with it.
Thing that i don't know about is that Pheenix. I saw it offers backorder services. And honestly i don't know what backordering is since i hand reg my domains.

DropCatch, Pheenix, Namejet & Snapnames, Dynadot, Hexonet, Pool.com, Name.com are the main registrars that catch deleted names after they expire. There are not many good unregistered names available, so if you want a chance to own a good name that's expired, you need to place a backorder with each and every one of those services. They can catch the dropped name within 1 second after it's deleted.

I thought it was something like this but wasn't sure. Thank you for explaining.
