I know everyone is going to say worthless, but if everything google says is true then you should be able to develop this website and rank higher on exact match keyword in domain name. Can someone shed some light on this for me while giving your appraisal on name at same time. thanks

Homes for Sale is a great term, but .website has limited demand.

It is also an absurdly competitive niche with the Zillow, Trulia, Homes.com, Realtor.com, and many more. Ranking would not be easy.

you are right about that. Thanks for your input. I still don't understand why the extension is so undesired, and I probably never will. No biggie I reg'ed 15 @ $1 +tax each I will just let them drop. Another lesson learned.

Just dont instantly drop the name. You have a whole year to market it and try to re-coop your registration fees and possibly more...(y)

Don't drop "HomesForSale.WhateverExtension" These are hot🔥keywords for local Realtor Agents to showcase their portfolio. Call 2 realtors a day in 50 states and it'll be sold before you know it!

I will certainly try to sell them! I just will not re-register most of them. Out of the 15.....or so I reg'ed today there is only 5 I would re-register If they haven't sold by then.
Thanks for the input.

It is quality over quantity

HomesFor.Sale
Homes.ForSale
HomesForSale.Services
HomesForSale.Property
HomesForSale.Properties
it will never end, why would I pay you anything when I can go register one for reg fee

If anyone saw HomesForSale.Webiste does it pass the trust factor that you want to click it?

You are wasting your time, and money, it has been tried, you just showed up 3 years later, trying to reinvent the wheel.

Don't listen to me, spend your money register 1,000,000 GTLD's, and prove me wrong, I will be the first to admit it.

I sold a 5 figure .com today, the GTLD Keyword.Extension was sitting unregistered. So someone paid 5 figures for a .com, where they could have picked up the GTLD version for $40.

What does that tell you?

Keep beating your head against the wall, but if you think .website is going to be your saving grace, I am the least of your problems.

You get to the point where you don't even want to say anything, you just shake your head, and click to the next thread. There is so much opportunity out there, and people choose to focus on misguided facts.

The survey says end-users and consumers are too lazy do discover other extensions. Some consumers still don't know the difference between Honda & Hyundai they think they are both manufactured by Honda because the H look alike on both Honda & Hyundai.

Source: I just made it up, just ignore "some" facts.

I don't see much value unless you can find a real estate agent willing to buy it. Most of them don't seem to care about these domains because they use their work websites and databases instead.

There is another fella on this forum who likes burning money on trashy names like this, don't be like that

No I am listening to you and want to hear everyone's feed back good or bad. .com will always be king. you are right about that. .website were on sale for $1 and I spent $30 +tax on 30. If I sell 1 for $30 or 30 for $1 or 3 for $10 i made my money back. If I let them drop I lost $30 and will have to eat it.

This is the domain/website trend in Real Estate Market

You are correct about the ''H'', I still get confused!

I have several domains that are strong key words but many that are non .com....Several . live extensions that I still feel will have resell value ...I have just had a pretty good offer on LetsTalkSexLive .com and also have the L T S.live domain so that might evolve into a bigger transaction??? It does take some time to learn how to move these "less than desirable" domains but this is a space that seems to be a moving target regarding buyers and online consumer trends that impact domain values.

It is a interesting sandbox to play in for sure and I appreciate all the input and participation on this site.

I am a prominent investor in GTLDs but I believe if you're going to be investing in keywords for GTLDs ~ you should only focus on single match to match extension domains

Example / homes.online, home.store, home.shop, home.market

Honest valuation -
HomesForSale.Website
12 letters - 3 keywords
Homes - strong
For - weak
Sale - strong
.website - low credibility right now
...

$XX (low) - $XX (high) resell value to an enduser ~ Now it doesn't seem like much has been gained, but you have an example to go by, further insight; right now is really not the time to be investing in multiple keyword GTLDs unless it makes absolute sense ...

Experience - I own a number of real-estate related domains including,
La.condos

Best of luck

Good advice! Thank you for your input. You are right about now is not a good time to invest in .website.
I will take everyone's advice and go back to what I know. 95% of my domains are .com with a few exceptions. I will keep several .websites openstack.website being one of them. And a few more.
You know how this market goes, once a big sale happens there are no good ones left the next day.
Thanks everyone

There is no problem investing in the future; just know what you're investing in and why you're investing in the first place ... If they are for good reasons, you'll be successful in the long run ;)
