Currently, Iranian women are risking their lives refusing to wear hijabs. It's not just a cultural norm, it's an oppressive requirement.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...ompete-for-us-after-ban-for-not-wearing-hijab

β€œIt also banned her brother, who had played an Israeli entrant in Gibraltar, US Chess said.β€œ.

Interesting that application of law, or rule violation would be extrapolated to her brother.

I wonder if Hillary was excluded from wearing one and if Bill will be included in next time if she breaks a rule. Lol.

I suppose the standards of rules for wealthy or diplomats are applied differently around the world anyway for regular people, just like those stories of foreign UN diplomats in NYC with hundreds of unpaid parking tickets.

Irony or sarcasm ?

Not sarcastic. Mixing western cultural corporate logos on Eastern religious headwear, seems ironic doesnt it? Nike should have been more culturally sensitive based on all these new crazy PC norms. It’s Like a sacreligious act, something like if a Nike symbol were placed on a Bible or Koran cover, since it appears to be religious based. I heard of a servant immigrant working in the middle east who accidently spilled some coffee on a Koran, he received a death sentence.

How is it any of your business what a woman wears?

How does this affect your life at all?

I will answer, even though you seem to ignore much of the substance of what I post and nit pick it, and call me names instead of debating it. I used the word Libtard yesterday, first time I believe. I try to maintain respect here.

None. Zero.

But I have 1st ammendent rights to say just about anything, offensive or otherwise. I choose not to attack people usually, simply their ideas which lack common sense and respect. Continually reading your strange obtuse posts like about the President’s hair, I find juvenile. But, your continual campaign of anti everything of the President is your equal right. If someone wrote that Obama should grow an Afro or have Dreds, you would jump all over that. Or Hillary was fat, ugly and had a double chin.... something like Melania wore the wrong shoes, didn’t hold the Presidents hand, its really Kindergarden journalism, its the new low in the media. Not surprising though with some in the populace. As they were indoctrinated with pure liberal unbalanced teaching for decades.

Oh, and the Grandstanding of one Senator holding up the budget, I don’t agree with either. The principle of the budget limit/govt shutdown games every year continually are ridiculous. Not the time or place to debate that though. Nor is DACA/Pelosi have anything to do with passing a budget, these issues are only brought up for free media publicity and fuel party division.

I wouldn't compare a scarf to the Bible or the Koran. Most hijabs I've seen have flowers, patterns, etc. Probably someone will be offended by anything.

We should ban kippah's while we're at it, this is 'Merica, not Jewrusalem

Then cowboy hats and hoodies. Just to start. Maybe startup a registry, toll free number so true American citizens can call the violators in, and then they can be rounded up. Use them to build that wall, free labor.

I didn’t have any other religious item in mind at my fingertips while typing to compare it to. I think you saw my George Carlin video/comments, so you know where I stand with religion. Anybody simply can believe in what they want, a right of freedom of religion. I don’t know the names of all religious hats and scarves or other clothing other than maybe a β€œRobe”, so lets say Nike put their logo on a Reverend’s Robe. Reverend Sharpton has a Nike swoosh on his silk robe. Most religious people in the west would be furious, I can only presume. Mixing corporate America with religious clothing. Right?

So, my point that I guess I have failed to communicate well is that by mixing an eastern religion clothing item with a western corporate symbol, it seems really ironic. Or sacreligious to those true protectors of the faith or believers. Flowers and colors are probably to allow the person to β€œmix” in with western culture, versus a solid black scarf. Less obvious, only my assumption.

We in the west started having numerous brands and the popularity of logos’s on shirts as I recall when silk screen print t-shirts came into fashion in the early 70’s. The US culture norm now is everything is a brand. Youtubers babblers are all a brand, lol. I like the entrepreneur aspect though.

Speaking of clothing, Did you see this?

It was the blacks that sold their own people to the Arabs for 1000 years and then to the Whites for 300 years. Do they teach this in US schools? Or do they only teach about slavery from the point where the slaves are put in the boats and shipped to the Americas?

As I re read this, NO mention I ever recall in my years of mandatory School. Not once. Only textbooks with drawings of the Slave Ships that came to the Americas. Those Evil White people, I don’t believe the books blamed Europeans at all, only the American Slave owners. No mention of the entire history, just the narrative they wanted to state. That is propagandized education at it’s best.

All History books for children and all history should all be reviewed for bias, debated, restudied and questioned, now since it is tainted. Written from worldwide facts (not national) that are documented, (not sure where) Now with much more online publishing, scholars sharing data, etc. it should be considered. Why do I say that? Think about who wrote the books. I like Wikipedia, and hope it continues and is objective and accurate, nothing is perfect but it is really a nice resource.

What would you want to sway me away from? From the truth? Do you think I'm gonna get the truth on politics from CNN, BBC, WaPo, NYT, LA Times, MSNBC, NBC etc. when they no longer hide their bias towards anyone who doesn't follow their narrative?

Whatever happened to all those women who accused Roy Moore of sexual assault from almost 40 years back, just 3-4 weeks from the election in Alabama? Remember Beverly Young Nelson, crying crocodile tears, represented by the infamous Gloria Allred who gave a press conference in record time, showing a Yearbook, that turned out to have been forged to make it appear it was written by Roy Moore.

Yet any idiot could quickly see that the forgery/alteration on that Yearbook, had a different type of hand writing AND the color of the ink was different.

Interesting that the MSM didn't notice those fake alterations, but I did, so did millions and so did the right wing media, that you apparently believe are like "Reality TV". Even Gloria's client admits she forged it by adding text to it. Even the NYT couldn't hide this news:

Moore Accuser Says She Wrote Part of Yearbook Inscription
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/08/us/alabama-moore-nelson-allred.html
327b3e863247693ab4ad5568ea091a41.jpg

All these false accusations against Roy Moore by the Liberal Media and Gloria "the Snake" Allred, resulted in a victory for the Democratic candidate and for the Fake Liberal Media. They stole that election from Roy Moore

As for your wife Lisa Bloom, she's obviously following in her mothers footsteps. Lets talk about her and Harvey Weinstein as just one example:

Why would Lisa, a Justice for Women Feminist, who slandered Bill O'Reilley, decide to support a true predator like Harvey, by becoming his adviser, while already knowing of quite a number of accusations against him? Was it for a very big sum of money or was it because Harvey is a Liberal, while O'Reilly is Conservative. Perhaps it was for both reasons. Or we can add another reason... hypocrisy.

Harvey Weinstein's Advisor Lisa Bloom interviewed by George Stephanopoulos

Tucker: Harvey hypocrite Lisa Bloom is feminist for hire
I hate to spoil the right wing narrative with facts but..... Lisa was advising HW BEFORE any of the assault accusations came out. She resigned once she heard about them - which was prior to them becoming public. As I said before, don't believe everything you read. If I had to guess, HW probably retained Lisa early on to conflict her out of any future cases against him. Clever.
I'm sure you'll hunt for more right wing commentary to post here, but I'm done responding.

I'm going to bold some comments so it's quicker for me to reply, followed by my reply.

"Currently, Iranian women are risking their lives refusing to wear hijabs. It's not just a cultural norm, it's an oppressive requirement."

Talking about in America. You can wear it or not, your choice.

"Mixing western cultural corporate logos on Eastern religious headwear, seems ironic doesnt it"

Same as my last response. Obviously, they're buying and wearing it by choice. Still none of your business.

"you seem to ignore much of the substance of what I post"

Most of what you're calling substance is whining and in Gilsan territory, anti-immigrant/black, oh what about the poor white man. Will go further into that later.

"But, your continual campaign of anti everything of the President is your equal right."

Oh, his hair, I was joking, lighten up. And this anti-everything of the President. Went over that before. Who is President? Trump is. So who do you think we'll be talking about a lot? Then, on top of that, how he uses Twitter. Even you Trump fans don't like that. So he brings most of this on himself, and again, he's President. When Obama was President, guess who we talked about a lot? Obama. The difference is, you guys seem to cry about it more.

"So, my point that I guess I have failed to communicate well is that by mixing an eastern religion clothing item with a western corporate symbol, it seems really ironic. Or sacreligious to those true protectors of the faith or believers."

This is you having no idea what you're talking about. Sacreligius to those true believers, blah blah blah. So you're an expert in this culture? Maybe, the people buying these items, that are actually Muslim, might know more than you?

Some of the other stuff you posted abut BLM, paid Ferguson rioters (bs), importing kids from other neighborhoods, I guess you mean bussing in black kids? etc. It seems from your posts you have some pent up anger about this. Oh poor you, you had to have a course on civil rights. Well, that's part of American culture.

Then American Culture, what is that? Hip Hop culture sprung from America, I bet you would have a problem with that? I think working out to me, all around the world people do that, but in America that's more of a thing. These things from Nike were for working out. That's American, but oh, the wore a hijab. I asked you about kippah earlier, you didn't reply.

Do you have a problem with other cultural displays? What's up with the Irish and St. Paddy's Day? The potato famine is over. Why don't the Irish hop right back on that boat and take their ass right back to Ireland, this is America.

I'll tell you why, unless you're Native American, we all have roots elsewhere. It doesn't have to be either/or. You don't have to celebrate with just American customs. You can do both. You can celebrate 4th of July and St. Paddy's Day. I'm part German, we still do a lot of German Christmas customs. You want to were a hibab, a kippah, a whatever, you can do that. It's America, part of American culture is that freedom.

You seem to be way too much on the internet with these right wing nationalist type sites, even talking about how Trump helped some of this get going.

Facts are facts... If the biased Liberal Media doesn't report or talk about it, then we can get it from the Conservative Media... thank God.

In my Politically Incorrect world, the raw truth does NOT need to go through a Liberal PC Filter. The raw truth is like Olive Oil and Water... it always goes to the TOP.

I rest my case...

Yes.. in America you can even where a burka. Pretending there are no politics involved around promoting the hijab doesn't make it true.

That's just more dramatic. It's more likely somebody just wearing traditional garb. Again, just like somebody wearing a cowboy hat, kippah etc., just part of the culture.

I wonder how much bs they have to deal with, some thinking they're up to something, when we all have more in common, than we are different. I'm sure they wake up just like everybody else, wanting a peaceful life and just trying to have the best life they can for themselves and their family.

Burkas should be BANNED from Planet Earth

Don't become that, some hateful old man.

Yeah, but its not β€œmy culture” thank you. Problem with it? No. Its a free country. I dont listen it, nor country music either. Country music, and pop and symphonic music all require talent.

Hip hop or Rap has allowed any douche with a microphone make millions with little talent. Have you ever played live music? Do you have any experience in music? I happened to have spent most of my life studying and playing it. Its incredible what work is involved being in a band and hours dedicated.

Rap on the other hand is simply dumbed down, ghetto trash talk. It’s Anti woman, any jerk that can buy a speaker and hold a microphone could do it. No years of practice, like a flute, violin or even drums. Vocalists on that voice program I never watch are a dime a dozen too, sure a few good ones here and there, but rap artists anybody can do that, no brains, no talent required. Intellectually disabled can do it. Lol. Gene Simmons said Rock is Dead. He’s correct.

I dare you to ask a woman living in Iran, to wear a Nike scarf. I dont wager, but if I did I would bet you they would put her in jail, or the any other Sharia law country.

And, say someone from there visits Macys and buys one while on vacation, and takes it back and trys to wear it in public, I seriously doubt it.

I'm not sure what part of America you guys are struggling with. I'm talking here in America, people buying those Nike hijabs from Macy's. It's a choice they make. You don't want to deal with that, so you start talking about some other country.

Here in America, you're free to wear a hijab, cowboy hat, kippah etc. I really hope you guys aren't the type to act like an asshole to those that do and instead be a decent person and if you're going to say anything at all, try hello.
