I'm building a website for "Xxxxxxxxx" and need a logo for the website, business cards, invoices, etc.

What I'm looking for: I'm looking for something simple... a nice design that works well with the website.
I will want adobe files and png, gif, not simply a logo made in PowerPoint.

Contest ends Saturday morning at 0900 Mountain Time.
Payment of $30 USD will be given to the winner via PayPal.

I will provide helpful feedback on the designs in an effort to get a great product. To be honest, I'm not sure what I want. So, you can try different things.

Within the next day or three, I'll be posting another contest for another logo. Watch for it.

Of the two designs, I like the bottom one better. I can't think of any suggestions to improve it. It is a nice, clean design. The only problem is that it may remind me a little too much of Google maps.

I am interested in seeing other designs if anyone else wants to submit.

I am liking the font change and color changes on the word, but not the logos that look similar to Google map markers.
Also, I think I prefer a lower case "g" over the capitalized "G."

I'm getting some good choices here. I'm going to have to keep looking at them to decide a favorite. As of right now, I have no improvements to suggest.

2 days left!

I seem to be leaning more toward liking the compass for the O or a totally abstract "gO" design. I decided that I'm not going to choose a design that looks like a marker on Google maps or Earth.

One thing I'm curious about see whether someone can make a lower g look like a chain going to the compass (the O). I just don't know how it would look, though.
