Home.loans was an enduser sale, imk is a reseller sale

home.loans is not every sale....and wasn't it a premium registry name held back anyways? It's one sale, LLL's are consistent. Give me a LLL .com to broker vs a modern gTLD and lets see who gets paid first.

I think there is no need to compare .com with new gTLDs...those are just 2 different investment tools, which can and will live nicely together. I personally do not care much about .com sales (as I am invested only in new gTLDs, so I have nothing to do with .com, which means no incentive for me to care) but whenever there is nice and large .com sale, it helps domain investors the same way as the nice and large new gTLD sale

Whether .com is King or Queen or Joker. I don't care.

Then What I care?

I only care those extension which turn my little cent into dollars. It can be a .com, .co, co.uk or .blog or .loan or .info or .cash or .org etc.

Alot of factors go into bidding. Let me assure you if the domain name was INK instead of IMK it could've been easily a million dollar sale. IMK didn't really pass radio test.

I don't get the sense that dotcom means a lot any more. Lots of prominent sites now use tlds like .io, .ai, .co, and new gtlds. Search engines are so powerful that the domain extension is not really relevant.

If you were able to register any domain in the world right now. Which would you choose. 10000000% it would be a .com. It's not about the search engines equalizing the chances of rankings. You can always find outlier exceptions. It's about memorability. .Com is the most memorable TLD in the world.

Ask Google to leave its .com..

The big Brands like Google are taking other extentions just to levearge their brand..it does not mean they give priority to other gtlds over .com..

If you could check most of the Gtlds bought or registered by Brands like google and Apple etc..are routed to their core webiste .com only...get ur facts right...

.COM is the Magnet which attracts other Gtlds..in rare or no cases you will see .COM websites getting routed to Gtlds..
