I am pretty sure that a couple of us folks have registered domains at exabytes.com ( maybe due to their promo codes or otherwise ). I need to transfer and push a couple of domains I have there. Can someone who has an account there share their experience while doing a transfer or push. I am asking it here because TBH their domain related support does not seem to be fantastic.

First, there is no one replying on live chat ( tried couple of times on different days ). So the live chat is not so live :cautious:. Then I thought of trying to message on their Facebook page but they have set up an automated response. When I finally got someone on chat and told him that I want help with transfer, he told me to write an email to some id [email protected]. You and I know it very well how fast the email conversation is :grumpy::grumpy:.

So couple of things I would like to know are ..
  1. Did you find it easy to push a domain from your account to another, or does it involve unnecessary hoops to jump, like calling them up or email etc, because as I mentioned, the support is not immediate.
  2. Have you been able to transfer out the domain to someone successfully, without getting in touch with their support ? Is there extra steps I should know about ? What I know is, we do not need their manual assistance for the auth-code as I found it in the domain manager interface.
I have an overall positive opinion of them and I am just being cautious about their process because the transfer and push I am about to do is going to be time sensitive. And I am also hopeful that someone else may find this discussion helpful.

@MasterOfMyDomains Prior to writing this post, I have actually read the thread you linked. I see that @exa-Edward has been tagged a couple of times, but has not responded. In fact I just checked his profile and I see that the last response from him was on 6th December.

Also I need opinion from the users not from someone from the staff there. I appreciate your input though, so thank you.

I have transferred domains out of exabytes without any problem. Sorry, but I do not remember if there was an option to expedite the transfer. I did not have to contact them to transfer.

Its a relief to know that you did not have to contact them to transfer. That was my main concern. I do not need to expedite the transfer. Thanks for your input.

Anyone else wanna share their experience is welcome.

Hi Edward,

Where can I find the EPP code? @exa-Edward

Beware. Exabytes repeatedly billed me for renewals of domains that were not even in my account. They never did give me a full refund either.
