I would really appreciate if fellow NPers would help with the choice of brand for my future business.

The idea is to reveal the business area a bit later, so that opinions are expressed on the options by themselves. What kind of associations come to mind when you see the name, when you say it out loud, what business would you assume just by looking at/hearing the name.

Please write your response without reading responses by others, if possible.

Then I will share the business area I am looking for to see how that gauges against the expressed perceptions. I have .com of all the names below that I am seeking feedback on:

A G B A

A N E M

A X O T

E E X O

E F Z Y

E L I X

E U V O

U L D Y

Thanks!!!

Agree, "Very Own" works too ) Thanks, did not think of it. So it is a good fit as 1) EU + branding suffix; 2) EUropean VOgue; 3) Europe's Very Own;

Though there will be link to traditions, don't want to focus on old ) Classy, not classic )

Elix for liquor: not thought of that, but I guess "extracting" aspect helps. Had inquiry from a electrical investigations expert, he thought it would be perfect fit for his rebranding EL for electric+ i for investigation, then he explained X part too and also said it is a term in the industry.
Elix is money in the bank. When I was researching these names I noticed that Elix has a ton of potential clients. Sell it and use the money to start your brand.

Won't be selling it unless get high xx,xxx offer for it ) Once almost agreed to low xx,xxx offer but started shopping for similar quality names and understood that all the money would go towards replacement pretty much.

Thanks to @usernamex for the tip. Registered EuropeanVogue.com to go with Euvo in case I do go with this option.

Honestly, i ignored all above comments as you requested and feel you should sell some 4 char's and keep looking for another name. Domainsoup.... for ideas.

I too think that the possession of some great LLLL's shouldn't narrow your choices.

What would looking for another one give?

Honestly, if shortness is one of the criteria, and it is, there are probably no more than 5000 names on the planet of elix, agba, euvo, anem quality.

Let's look at some 4L fashion brands (some I did not know about, but saw in the link courtesy of @Loxline :

BOSS - amazing name, but would have been more suitable for something else, job site or business related.

ECKO - good name, but not better than eexo or euvo

ECCO - the same

ZARA - great name, but CVCVs are overpriced compared to VCVC and if it is sounding thing, then EUVO is pronounced as CVCV (yu:vo)

AILI - worse than mine, imo. I like my adei or acoi better. By the way, ailing is not a good thing ))

KARI - a CVCV, but don't really like it

ABOF - nothing special

DIOR - similar to my Kuar or SIET

ETRO - similar to Agba or even more to Ayro I have but would use probably for aero related

Gant - have Qend

Izod - have some similar ones, like ohax, ihoj etc.

Others:

Rawe, Pauw, Ahee, Odlo, Islo, Brax, Daks, Geox, Yoox, Mexx etc. are again not superior and have some similar ones like Yuug, Uund, Ajlo, Afso, Zahh, Eiax, Qeod, Owby, Orwy, Gioy etc.

No, I think I am happy with my short list for now and with your help have zeroed in onto Elix, Axot and Euvo.

This name seems like it could be a fashion brand. Break up syllables like Di-or Gi-oy kind of sounds like joy with a European accent.

Really though, fashion isn't my expertise. Perhaps @brandsly would be best suited to offer advice in this branding niche.

Gioy has an Italian feel to it, because of the name Gio. I also like that its pronunciation would be very similar to "Joy". And for that reason my 7 year old daughter has booked it )) She has some idea for it ) And also for Uwea ) I guess, runs in the family ))

Thanks for the mention hehe. A lot of older European fashion houses were named after the original owner/designer's last names. Dior is from Christian Dior, Boss is from Hugo Boss, Izod is from Jack Izod, Etro is from Gerolamo Etro etc....But short made-up and sound-good names are obviously generally great for fashion brands.

From the list, I like:

AGBA - Names ending with "a" are generally considered "feminine" in many languages, great for women's fashion brands, but I think this particular name is pretty gender neutral.

EEXO - Sounds and looks good, easy to remember, unique, gender neutral, modern

ELIX - Sounds and looks good, good for anything, period.

EUVO - Sounds European and high end

AXOT - can see it as a young, modern, techy fashion startup brand, but not really as a European luxury brand imo

Thank you. Great insight. Yeah, I am also leaning to further narrowing down the field to Euvo and Elix...

Thank you! Any insight as to why is appreciated.

its more unique
not just a random 4 l com
its more like a 3l com

it has a pleasant sound in my ears
and it looks pretty

the o at the end has the same "weight" as the 2 ees at the start divided by x
how good can it be?

when you think of a logo
those letter will look great

You are right, I did do some "napkin" sketches of the logo and eexo can be nicely drawn as infinity mark with two e's almost merging or just merged.

It has also something fun about it and I thought it would be fit for fashion, if it had a bit hip direction, more trendy, youngster, rather than more classy focus that I am looking for. That is why I put it here in the mix to see if that is just me or general feel, as I always avoid assuming that I am the market.

@frank-germany and @Recons.Com - how are you "saying" E E X O? For me it ends up 3 syllables while euvo is two. Actually it never occurred to me before now, the longest any 4L can be in syllables is 4 if you had to just spell them out, as long as there are no Ws

Although a great logo can clarify and brand a domain much better than text, helpful if that is the first exposure a customer receives

euvo = yu:vo

eexo = i:kso (i: as in deed)

I have a one syllable (2 sounds) one in eaub.com pronounced as OB.

My Qoch is also just 3 sounds, not sure how many syllables that makes )

Yes, discovered the crypto Elix just few weeks ago.

A few minutes after I posted the above, I read what you wrote last month...

just found out that there is a new currency called Elix or Elixir (they use both words) with currency being mined via peer to peer loans. Market cap is already at around $5.5 million.

From then til now, their marketcap has 5x'd to $25mil.

Would be interesting to see how much elix they would be willing to trade for the domain...

... and would they give you a better bang for your buck if you got creative, and put in hold and/or buy back clauses / conditions?

Not sure how the valuations work for such companies ) If they are the owners, or the gatekeepers ) But probably would be fine with just getting a cash or token equivalent consideration ) This is one of the names I am not too eager to part with anyway )
