Wow lucky you. I own Apple-Crypto.com and Amazon-Crypto.com and people wont touch those with a 10 foot pole. I had an offer of $100 for the amazon one and denied it cause I was a complete rookie and thought “Apple will pay me more!”

Not really many uses for it, unless you are going to use the coin to purchase Granny Smith apples. Once you start integrating certain grades of technology to the coin, you would have got a c&d.

Otherwise if apple bought it, that will be a a blow.

Reg fee to $2K, isn't bad for a domain that reeks of TM issues, which would deter anyone from developing.

i guess the other option is someone else bought it thinking of apple the company.. I guess its his problem now.

I am no expert but can see exactly why people would say there are trademark issues with this.

However,I think people can go a bit far with trademarks such as what david and victoria beckham done with names last year.

People can practically trademark ANY name nowadays,so as long as you are not trying to impersonate another company I guess you are ok?

And if you are a company that is trading, and someone tries to copy and profit from your name, I think you have legal ground to shut them down anyway regardless of whether the name is trademarked or not (at least in the UK).

As I say,I am no expert, but I personally wouldn't register a domain with the word ''Apple'' in it,I'm not sure why as it is quite a generic word anyway!
