Brandbucket already have more than 48000 domain, now which means if you will try to sell domain through them . You don't stand any chance even if you have hundreds of domains. For each domain you need to pay $ 10, which means you end of paying $ 100 for only 10 domains which will probably will never be sold and you have to put their nameservers. which means all traffic will go towards them.

Trust me guys BB era is over and it's all about Namepros now.

You don't need to buy domain which are BB accepeted or rejected. Use your mind and buy brandable domains which you think are good.

It's only my opinion. You can share yours.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I had a look at brandbucket yesterday and if I had a strong brandable I'd be keeping it OFF that site, because of how much low quality rubbish it now contains.

They were pretty much the 'first movers' so should have put 100% focus on quality and become the Rolls Royce of such a market place, with 10,000 top domains instead of trying to focus on top, middle and bottom ends of the market with their $700 domains.

They've gone for quantity over quality, I think that was a mistake. Ferrari doesn't try to sell more cars than Vauxhall.

I only have 150 names at BB but sell 4-5 names a year which covers all my domain costs and gives me profit to spend/re-invest. I agree the increase in names is not great but they are a business so change was inevitable. Its an option for people to consider, there are pro's and con's. For me its an outlet to sell names and I'll continue to use it for now.

This line makes zero sense, they are completely different things. One is an end user marketplace, the other is a domaining forum?

An interesting section in their recent newsletter was “all domains are priced at or BELOW current market value” and “if you buy a name you can forever relist it for AT LEAST what you paid”. At least sounds like MORE. And names have been sold their “ 2 or 3 times over”.

The reason this is interesting is I have long thought many names are underpriced especially considering their commission there and those statements pretty much verify it. They are not just catering to end users. There are domainer repeat customers buying names low and selling higher and that’s why they keep prices on the low end. JMO.

They become like a trash can.

It's easy to create your own "brandbucket".

I agree that Brandbucket is not a good fit for all domain investors. Fortunately, there are other options, e.g. Afternic is better than ever, and there are other, smaller brandable marketplaces (e.g. Brandpa).

Yes afternic is better than ever. Neither we need to give them traffic nor $ 10 per domain

They are good in few keywords on google which makes traffic for them.
brandroot has better search results

Why should I trust you?

How much year you have in domaining?

How many time you have sold "Brandable" domains?

Have you used Brandbucket before coming to your math? If yes, then how many years you have waited?

A person doesn't need to be genius to find out that. Let's do simple maths

Domain published : $ 10
Traffic ( Lets say ) : $ 5 / per year
Submitted : 100 domains

That means you are paying them $ 1000 for 100 domains ( one time fee ) + $ 500 yearly

And what u will get back hardly . Nothing

You will get this,

Out of 1000, only 1 gets lucky. And usually a poor fellow who is having thousands of domain there. Give them free traffic, his domain selling share and $ 10 each domain. It's loot

That math should also be calculated as,

Domain published : $ 10
Traffic ( Lets say ) : $ 5 / per year
Submitted : 100 domains
Sold:- 3

Total Investment:- $1000
Total Return:- $3000
Profit :- $2000

& I am done Here!

But I still not get my answer,

Why Should I Trust You?

Michael Krell came on here NUMEROUS times to defend all BB nonsense - id be curious if he'd like to reply to this now and answer how many names did he or insiders buy that people listed and then let expire? He's full of shit as is BB.

Don't trust me. Just waste your money, traffic and at the end of the day if u became lucky out of thousands then give them their 30 % or whatever share it is for selling domain

There are pros and cons to working with BB, both of which I think are valid to express....

But, IMO - BB staff has always been courteous and respectful. Most conspiracy theories against them don't stand up. And, your expired names will generally be registered by another Domainer if it is any good. There are plenty of people that have built up databases of domains listed at marketplaces and watch for them to drop.

Rather or not BB is for someone, I think, is a personal/business decision that they need to make on their own.
