I'm just curious what the standard value of a LLLN.com is these days. Also LLLN.net, and LLLL.com. Any help would be great..Thanks

There is little value in a LLLN.com or net unless it is really catchy - and then not a whole lot. You would have a hard time getting your reg fee back on most LLLN dot anything, in my opinion.

LLLL.com are still available to register but the number remaining continues to fall. Some people believe they will rise in value when all are taken.

LLLN.com or LLLN.net next to worthless unless it means something.

LLLL.com depends on the letters.

Thanks guys..that's kind of what I figured. I'm just wondering if the investment is worth it for LLLL.com's if it's random letters.

Random bad letter combinations probably aren't worth investing in (or are at least very high risk) unless they have some meaning as an acronym or they are catchy/pronouncable. If you can pick up all premium letter random combinations (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P, R, S and T) then I'd grab them - very hard to find any that are not registered now though.

Domains with only the above letters have not been available to register for over a year, longer, for all I know. The next level would be names having only one "not very bad" letter: J, K, W, U, or, perhaps, V and Y. The remaining letters: X, Z, and Q are the worst and will hurt the value of any name they are in unless it has meaning or sounds like a word. I have been buying names with one J, K, W, or U, with three other good letters. I think they are a good investment, however I do not expect to get rich with them.

Going against the crowd, I have not paid a lot of attention to names being "pronouncable" - I think the big end user market is acronyms for business names, which are random except for letter frequency. Pronounceable is a plus, but the really good ones are long gone.

It's interesting to look back at this 2006 thread and consider 11 year old opinions on LLLL.com

Anyway, it's interesting how in 2006, they assumed that random LLLL.com were pretty much worthless.

Which some are still pretty low end, but not worthless.

Back in 2006, Amazon wasn’t thinking about a second headquarters. So I would imagine that AHQ2.com would be worth something today. What do you think?

The real word plus number LLLN.com are worth in general $50 - $250 so what you mention would be worth even less. You’re stretching thinking that ahq2 has anything to do with AMZN.

Years later is this still true?
