Last year I sold the domain to enduser (outbound) and now I see that he forgot to renew it. (emails about cancellation were coming to my email, not on his.)

My domain was city + someword.com
His active domain is name + someword.com

he redirected my domain to his before drop. Should I offer him again this domain, Is there a chance to buy it again?

Maybe he didn't think the traffic was worth it. If you like the name, then you could see if it is on anexpired auction list, otherwise you could wait for it to drop.

Adam Dicker said this would happen all the time. He had lots Re-sales to the same buyers of a particular domain often.

Why didn't you forward him those cancellation emails ? If they were being sent to your email address you should have let him know.

I am personally helping a client through this exact issue now... He never updated the whois and was about to lose his domain.

I have been in contact with him, using my time - to help him get the whois information corrected, and he has already renewed the domain to avoid losing it.

Morals should come into play here - it isn't all about money. At least for me.

I do honestly think it would be morally wrong to offer it for sale again to him.
Either don't do anything or better notify your buyer that the domain dropped to give them a chance to register it at their preferred registrar.

That's what I would do at least.

Massive chance to win a customer to your side of the fence and earn loyalty.

In this business, that is a tough thing to engineer.

Say he has a massive budget for web projects .. you could be the first call for these names if you develop the relationship.
