discuss App.Net Sold for 70K on Sedo

Just as many domainers thought [dot] net is on its way to the morgue. This sale gives 3L.net-holders the hope to hold on and wait for their turn.

Could this sale be as a result of the keyword or the fact that it's 3L.net or a combination of both and other factors?

Nice sale. I think it's a great domain for app developers. This gives me hope for a couple of nice .Nets I have. Probably has something to do with the sudden inquiries I have been getting on a-p-p.photo too.

No any relation to random LLL.

I'd guess that neither was the primary reason. App.net was a social network (which was moderately popular when it launched) that eventually failed. I suspect that is a large reason for the valuation. Of course, a really solid keyword such as app only adds to the valuation.
