XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

Decide for yourself.

Instead of whining some haters could've been regging these beauties - half of which were reg'ed just in the last 72 hours!

My Logic:

There will be XR Clouds, attorneys who specialize in XR cases, Websites that utilize XR, enterprises, congresses, and ReactVR could very likely go XR, since it's based on WebVR(which recently changed to WebXR to also support AR).

Think for yourself (not just blindly copying past sales keywords). Hunt thoughtfully.

It's amazing how fast the XR term has caught on. Not even a year ago, when I Googled "xr", the search results were a mix of extended release pharmaceuticals and golf clubs. Now, the entire first page on Google is related to the technology.

Please elaborate, Oldster! Is it because they are XR or is it because you think my keywords aren't useful to the XR industry in general? I've taken the time to research about these keywords in relation to their potential value to the XR industry before regging.

Yes I'm aware that ReactVR.com is still available, but I know someone here who made a fortune on .de cloud domains and "AR/VR cloud" is a common discussion and described product. It's only a matter of time before "XR cloud" will be a common industry term. There are already "VR / AR", AR and VR congresses. These industries are merging their conferences because of similar interests and technology. There are already attorneys who specialize in immersive tech....search for VR and AR enterprises and tell me what you find Oldster. I'd love to hear actual detailed advice, not substanceless negativity.

No, there's no guarantee these domains will sell...that's a given, but tell me something specific to my domains. If I am misguided, I would love your input, because god knows I hate wasted money!

This isn't very significant but this is the first time I've seen Google write about anything "XR" related publicly. Individual employees have but not from an official account or announcement.

The speed of XR picking up is a sign of the times I think. This modern era we live in, things change so fast now and new developments and tech seem to happen daily. The number of inventions per year now much make the numbers even just 10 years ago look tiny.

Even for this video (below), that was uploaded in August 2017, commenters are like "Am I supposed to know what XR is??".

If you see in the video, the speaker is using the terms AR, VR and XR. She's a perfect example of how the term XR is not meant as a replacement for AR,VR and MR but merely a way to refer to all without having to say them individually.

Listening to her navigate between the terms beautifully is an interesting glimpse into coming years when the term is possibly a glimpse into the future when the term could become massively popular within the XR development and business communities.
