Is there any chance that Hugedomains drop a domain?
Do you know the domain that has been freed by Hugedomains?

I've registered before one domain from the dropped list. On checking domain's past history, it came previously from Hugedomains selling it for low $x,xxx.

Like any other privately owned portfolio, they drop domains. Sometimes in 2 years, other times after almost a decade.

I have registered a few of their drops. One was for a client who previously owned it ;)

It might be everything from 1 year and up. Depends on quality etc...

I tried one recently, it ran out on the 14/12 but they kept it another year.. Nothing special ProteinGold.com sometimes i get too many ideas! LOL some are silly but not that silly as other people snapped up most of the names I dropped/lost. They were useful to someone. Even the hyphen domains people say they don't want! Ha! Oh well!
I think some smaller registrars do keep your searches and other similar sites. I wonder how much it would cost to be a firm like Huge Domains?
Is there another way? I would like to just save names for people who have active business. And small fee.

Not if you keep visiting it or if you register another extension for it.

I’ve been waiting 5 years now to see if they’ll drop one. Anyone else see any pattern to this? Was really surprised they caught this in the first place!

Yes. It took 1 year for a certain domainname. But it was i fact a TYPO-name.
But I have the name now back.
But another domainname they have already for 8, 9 or 10 years, they keep constantly the domain, or better, put it for sale, for too much money, for my pocket.

While I can see Huge Domains has picked up quite a few of my drops there was one expiring domain I was going after two years ago that they beat out backorders from Namejet etc on but they let it go two years later. We all see that their automated process picks up a lot of questionable domains so perhaps they are starting to feel the weight of all those crappy registrations.

Soon or later they will realize the Huge Mistake that they have been made for many years!:xf.laugh::xf.grin:

I see their domains being expired all the time. Last week i found at least 5 expired ones that I was considering to handregister.

For example: disclaimit.com
It is expired 17yrs old domain, last owner: HugeDomains.

BTW it is still available for registration as I am typing :)

If you are a member of DropCatch.com it shows them daily. They start at $10. And yes they drop all the time.

They drop all the time. It's hard to predict when though. The last domain I tracked that was owned by them dropped after 6 years and I could catch it right on the drop.

If the domain isn't valuable, wait it out or move on. Don't visit the domain but use a whois tool or something to alert you when it expires.
