This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

H/E/A/L/I/N//GA/L/T/E/R/N/A/T/I/V/E/S D/O/T C/O/M sold for $2500

Inbound GD buy now service
first offer was $1K
i countered with $5K
then there was no email or reply for week or two.
so i emailed GD domain buy service that any update
then they replied that buyer max offer is $2500
and i accepted it
normally i wont have sold this domain for less than $3500

but few reasons -
1. GD buy service inbound, i was not paying any commission. i got full payment of 2500
2. buyer actually paid 3100+
for buyer actual price 3K 20% commission to GD besides to email me buyer had already paid 100$
3. i need funds for one offline project.

so considering above reasons i accepted and sold it for $2500
had acquired this domain few months before for low XXX
didnt list it anywhere because of laziness.

Name : 866632.com
Venue : GoDaddy Auctions
Sold : $210
Purchased : $5 (GD domain closeouts ), 2015.

I nearly dropped this domain, having missed the CHIP train.
Just out of the blue, the offer came in, and the greed in me got awakened. I risked and "Push to Auction" for 7 days. 7 days was like forever!
No other bidder(s).
The first and only bidder paid.

Name: Processed.com
Purchased: 2,200 (2 months ago) Godaddy Make offer
Sold: 8,000 (6,400 after commision)
Sales Venue: Flippa

Would have liked higher but i think it was fair for a reseller market.
The process took so long it was annoying at times. First the buyer paid through credit card, however after a week they told me they don't accept cc payments from buyers paying to sellers from a few countries (in my case, Pakistan). Then they took another few days to refund it. I would have lost the sale if they buyer was not so adamant on the domain, but kudos to him on paying it right after he got the cc refund.

Hectic process but i wish they still had the escrow.com option which imo is far better.

Congrats to all the other who got their sales on this thread too!

I mentioned it in this thread in some detail. I acquired around 4,500 or so names with the fasthosts promo. Used a ton of data to create possible permutations, registered some of my favorites from those permutations and listed them on the aftermarket.

It's definitely a numbers game with data driven registrations. I'm officially "in the black" - so all profit from a few sales ago onward.

Not sure what the final numbers will look like at the end of the registration cycle, will be an interesting turnout. I'll likely write about the whole experience once it's all wrapped up.
We are waiting :)

Thanks to @Silentptnr..
Thenewsroom/net
Platform where it was sold.. Namepros
Type.... Auction
Amount sold.... $35
Date registered... 17/11/2017
Date sold..... 20/11/2017

I regged this domain after serious and final push on domaining, this particular name was researched upon by me to the best of my knowledge, my thought was that, I will put the name on auction that if I fail to get any bid on the name...
Will quit domain maybe not forever but temporary, but alas it was sold, though the amount is small but it has reinvigorated my belief on domaining..

Thanks @Silentptnr
Once again

Sales price, inbound offer?
fundament . al was inbound offer, settled at 500.
ov . al was a pricing mistake at only 1688 on sedo, but I am honoring it (thus my updated signature :)). Bought it on flippa for 700, so net profit is still over 100%.

Domain Name: Ibiza/Houses[dot]com
Sale Venue: Sedo
Sale Type: BIN
Asking price: $1595
Sale Price: $1595
Commission paid: $239
Purchase/holding cost: $32 (GD expiring auction + 1 year renewal)
Net profit: $1324
Hold time: About 13 months

Quite happy about this sale, as it boosted my confidence in my ability to evaluate the worth of my names. I received a $350 offer for this one two months after buying it. Attempted to negotiate up to a four figure price, but never heard back from the buyer. Had regretted that for some time, but still really liked the name, especially since the Ibiza real estate market has been doing quite well.

This is my third four figure sale in as many months, from a portfolio of about 120 names, and now approaching my second full year of part-time domaining. Definitely starting to feel a lot better about my name selection skills.

Additional info... Looks like the buyer is a construction company based right in Ibiza. Love to see good names going to perfect end users!
