Flippa is always a failure

I think the seller was frustrated to list it on flippa

And he is now more frustrated with end price

Anyhow dot net is not very hot these days and may be this is the current fair market price!

Wonder if it went to an end user or domainer...

Cheap!

Don't really get why, with such a premium domain, you would sell it on Flippa.

I reckon it sold far too cheap too as homes aren't going out of fashion anytime soon and will only go up in value in the future as will that valuable piece of digital property

Im wondering if it was real. All these large flippa sales go into privacy

I don't even trust any sales data from Flippa anymore tbh.

Good name, but few .net names are selling in that range. So I think the price is about right.

I sold CreditCard.net for $138,000 in 2011, and never touched any other .net since then.

Congrats, great sale. Is the current owner who bought the domain from you?

There is a Wordpress site on it, created at May 15 this year.

Yes, it's the same owner who bought it in 2011 and they are re-launching a new site. They are a well-established Credit Card affiliate network in Australia.

.Net is way undervalued. As an end-user I prefer to use .net if the .com is not available compared to any other extensions.

I agree 30,000 seems about right for this premium .Net
The trouble for .net it had already pretty-much lost it's way after .biz, .info etc came to market. Lets remember it was also originally assigned/dedicated to the idea of 'Computer Networks' It then tried to reinvent itself (partly down to Microsoft) as a Social network designate - but that didn't work. It has probably only kept it's longevity due to being one of the original three . When ever I see a .net in use, I automatically wonder what's on the .Com whereas that doesn't come into play with other extensions purely because all the others sit well below that original hierarchy

Good sale really, .net is a weak extension imo

Cheap? You really think so?

Top tier .net and very few comps to muddy the water. Last reported match was homes.mobi for $57,300 in 2007. Worth a higher price, but despite the quality you can only wait so long for someone to "find" your name, especially in a buyer's market. Preferably, before your hair turns white and teeth fall out.

Great deal for both seller and buyer, I don't think it's went cheap, when you have lot of .com believer then it's a good price.

The singular could have fetched more.

.Nets market is weak at the moment. Good extension for developers to get a sweet name.

New extensions are killing .net value at present. You can see the price has been falling during some years up to now, especially LLL.net
