Im rather fortunate to have never received these emails, however instead i receive thousands of crappy seo service emails.

I received one of these as well on a domain I just acquired. Felt it was too good to be true, but I humored them in an effort to determine the intent.

It's the old please certify your domain by paying 250 bucks trick. They usually stop responding once you suggest using an escrow service in lieu of certification. Definitely makes we wonder if they aren't casing Namepros, though.

The name was Kamiko Nakamura posing as a Domain Broker from CPI Hosting Inc. The domain was a recently regged (cpi-ad-jp.info) about 3 days prior.
