naturalbeauty.com sold at 9,999 USD on 2017-10-26 at Sedo, the previous owner bought it at Namejet auction at 64,900 usd in 2008. What do you think about this domain? Is it worth more?

Of all the stupid and intelligence-insulting cliches, canards and mantras that have been mass-marketed in this bovine, moronic 21st century, I find that by far the most absolutely contemptible one is

'.com is king'

yeah right and king.royal will always be worth more than king.com :xf.confused:

You're really good at generating bad examples like

You're really bad at generating good examples like

less than 20 reported domainer sales globally last month
This is false, at least two namepros members have sold over 100 ngtlds each this year, between low xxx and high xxxx, and at least 10 others have sold over 10k worth of ngtlds, if you check the reported sales thread. If namepros members have done this, try to think that there are some chinese marketplaces that deal only with digit domains and ngtlds and there are other places with members selling them, but still, you are taking about 20 sales 'globally'.

i wrote reported meaning listed on namebio.com. Of course many sales are not reported. Namebio will also list only sales above $100. Still it is not much because the major marketplaces are tracked by Namebio.

so sedo, afternic, godaddy, flippa and namejet had less than 20 domain sales combined where no registry sale was involved.

I'm not talking about 100$ sales and namebio doesn't report lot's of sales, from my 19 end-user sales from this year I don't have any reported by namebio. 90% of the ngtlds sales are not reported, because they are outbounds or using efty, undeveloped and others landing pages Check some of the sales from this month (not mine), reported by namepros members, I can bet that most of them you will not find them at namebio, I think that there are at least ten times more ngtlds sales than reported each month:

yes reported sales are maybe 5-10% of what is sold but it is also true for other extensions. you have maybe 200-400 sales a month in reality, 7-13 a day on average.

It's true, but it's not the same. For example godaddy, namejet, dropcatch they report everything, and they don't really do ngtlds, more than half of them can't be even listed for sale at godaddy, so peoples are selling them through landing pages, which are not reported to namebio. Also, chinese marketplaces are not reporting to namebio.

I have noticed that some transactions (for .com) above 1000 USD on Afternic that I made did not show up either.

I don't think afternic reports any sales lately, they have only 3 reported in october and 2 in september .

What if the original buyer was an end-user who then did not use the name and dumped it a few years later?

Speaking of endusers did anyone notice this recent sale:

enduser.com 4,100 USD
2017-10-27 NameJet
endusers.com 5,000 USD 2009-11-11 Afternic

naturalbeauty.com is worth more than 10k today.

It depends what the seller does with the $10k. If he can get three names like NaturalBeauty.com that would be great. Fabulous domain.

Apologies that should be "they" instead of "he".

It worth a lot for this type of domain name but what kind of site will be developed to...

That domain is worth $500,000 easily shocked it went so cheap. That must have been some sort of inside deal as that sales price being so cheap is hard to believe.
Another dreamer

Good buy. I would without a doubt pay $10K for this domain. It is an amazing keyword/brand.

If he couldn't sell it, he should've developed it. It's a premium domain and the domain alone would give you credibility in the industry.

In 2008, I was after this domain. The original owners were a husband/wife team that had a failed cosmetics brand around it... subsequently, they divorced and the husband renewed the domain for a few more years... then it expired in 2008. They were in Colorado, then they divorced and moved away. They may have had a lot of creditors from the failed business, because he was really hard to find... but of course, I did manage to get a line on him - through his parents in Fresno.

I called them up and explained why I was trying to contact him and that I was willing to pay a great deal of money for this. His mother thought that he could definitely use that and told me she would tell him when he came over for dinner that night and have him call me. A week goes by and no word... so I call again and speak with dad... he confirms they told him, and promises to relay the message again... knowing I would have paid $20k. Still nothing from the guy. Domain hits NameJet, sells for just shy of $65k, and the guy gets $0.

It was really tempting for me to contact the parents again afterwards and tell them how their son had screwed up... but I didn't.

Had I known it was available now for $10k, I'd have paid that in a heartbeat.
