While recovering from the past weekend of scattered deals and in anticipation of the next SuperSale, I am weary of having several threads related to the SuperSales at Domain - MyDomain - NetFirms - Dotster.

Since the promos often work at more than one reseller, I would love to have a single thread to watch and participate in, if you agree, hang out here and watch this thread!

All NPers are welcome to post coupons and promos here as long as they are Domain - MyDomain - NetFirms - Dotster. That way we all have a better chance at awesome savings as soon as the promos are live!

The usernamex Guide to SuperSales

SuperSales are promotions done by the family of registrars under Domain.com, including MyDomain.com NetFirms.com Dotster.com

About every 10 days to two weeks, one or more of these registrars runs what I like to call SuperSales - with dot COM / NET domain registrations for bargain prices, $1.99 - $2.99 - $3.99. Sometimes the specials are good for multi-year registrations, sometimes only the first year is discounted.

The super fun part is they let you use coupons ON TOP of the promo, so there have been specials as low as $1.39, $1.59 is more common, and $1.99 is still great any time!

If you are new, the best choice is usually MyDomain, since their renewals are second best (to Domain) and I have not seen the $1.99 special ever offered at Domain direct

A great way to get an account set up is NOT during the frenzy of the SuperSales, and a trick you can use without having to contact support is to buy the easiest to type/remember cheapest domain you can, like whatever ngTLD is on sale for $1.99, that will be your username. You can drop the domain after a year and your account will be fine. Otherwise get on chat and they can set you up ahead of time without having to make a purchase.

To make it easy for everyone, if you can BOLD any coupon codes, that would be super, and if you tested coupons successfully, please mention the reseller where you tested.

I cant start bulk transfers. Is there a same problem on your accounts?

@varyemez - what sibling are you using? and by can't start bulk, do you mean the bulk Transfer Manager tool? what error are you getting?

Part 1] Transfer Manager
OK just tested at Domain.com, tried a few one at a time, system was slow, it showed in control panel but not in Transfer Manager, then after refresh showed in Transfer Manager

To "refresh" I switch to Main Control Panel, then back to Transfer Manager or vice versa, this mostly works for me rather than trying to do a page refresh with the browser.

Then did a list of nine domains direct to Transfer Manager and nothing happened. Did my "refresh" trick, and tried again and this time it worked.

Part 2] Verify Domain Credit to get to checkout page
Now, the "Verify Domain Credit" is NOT working, even with refresh. The URL appears to be what should happen to get to cart, PurchaseDateStamp= and other stuff that shows up there
It just stays on the Transfer Manager page

I have not tried adding to cart without being logged in first, I did try logging out and logging back in and that did not work.

Was planning to do my actual transfers tomorrow since the sale is valid until the 19th, I will test more later when I have more time approx 12 hours from now. I suppose we can contact support, yet if the sale isn't technically supposed to be working for transfers I don't want to alert them : grin :

Update - I CAN get a single domain transfer to go to cart if I re-enter the Auth Code from Domain Central, however then the 25% coupon is of no use since the cart minimum is $40

The 15% coupon DOES work though. My theory is they have a temporary glitch and hopefully it will be fixed soon. Also, if anyone wants to contact support, we do NOT have to mention anything about the coupon, since the issue is occurring before we even get to the coupon entry. I will contact support myself later.

I have a support ticket about this problem on domain .com (chat supporter created ticket for me)

It's not cheaper than NC, I see that it's just $32.88 for .IO at Namecheap.

Had this same issue last promo.

I was told by support I could not order bulk transfers. No way to verify credits. Even more: I couldn't even cancel them to try at another sibling. So the orders had to be cancelled manually by someone. It took about 48 hours, so I had no chance to give a try somewhere else.

Not sure if it's a glitch or if they're keeping some users from transfering bulk using coupons. Was really strange.

PS: This happened at MyDomain

UPDATE - figured out a hack to make it work by creating a new account. The method is questionable so use at your own risk!

Even though the promo has ended, Bulk Transfer Manager is still not working. The workaround of doing the Auth Codes through Domain Central works fine. If you have to remove domains that you tried to add using Bulk tool, you CAN get then cleared by removing them from Domain Central, after that they will STILL show in Transfer Manager, but will be OK for adding to a different sibling.

Hopefully they get the Transfer Manager fixed soon, that was one feature that actually worked nicely for loading up the cart to take advantage of promos in one transaction and with one submission.

My vote is no for Black Friday @creataweb - last year DomFam didn't even have a decent % coupon offer for BF/CM, let alone a promo for discount regs.

The best DomFam coupon deals in the past have been new years and Pi day, 30%+. That's why if they have a working 25% coupon it's just about the best we are gonna see anymore.

PS From my downloaded billing history, the cheapest in the past two years was $1.39 COM and $0.74 NET - which was AFTER coupons BTW
