Ok .Before we begin. Important things.

1.Already asked Eric Lyons about this and got the "greenlight" so long as certain RULES are followed (Read Rules Below)
2. This thread is in no way condoning SHILL bidding to drive up the price of domain auctions with fake bids.
3. Anyone caught not following the Rules (Below) i.e. shilling bidding will be reported here and to Godaddy respectively.
4. Rule #1. Do not make an offer on any domain showcased in this thread unless you intend to buy it. No exceptions.
5. Rule #2. If you make an offer on any Godaddy listing showcased here you UNDERSTAND that it WILL BE PUSHED to that FREE GODADDY AUCTION.
6. Rule #3. If you make an offer and it goes to auction and you are the only bidder. You are OBLIGATED to BUY IT. so ONLY make an offer on domains you intend to BUY. No exceptions.
7. Rule #4. Only List Domains with NO RESERVE and with a starting minimum bid of $25 in the Godaddy Listing.
8. Rule #5. No SHILL BIDDING.

Warning: Any attempt at Shill bidding a domain to inflate it's price will be reported to GODADDY and most likely GODADDY will close their accounts.

How will we know?

Because Shill bidding is risky. Sometimes people get STUCK with domains they never intended to buy because they kept shill bidding to bump the price and then sometimes there are no more other bids after that. The shill bidder gets stuck with the domain. Most will want to back out because they never wanted the domain in the first place and was just doing a buddy a favor. Sometimes the seller will argue with the bidder for not owning up to the responsibility of paying up after the auction is over etc etc.
In Short?

Shill bidding if it goes WRONG is just a BIG MESS.

All of which would happen here and very publicly as many NP's have seen.
Trust me. Shilling bidding is 50-50. Some will get away with it. But most will hit a snag and be exposed as a shill bidder and that's blemish that will STICK.

So why risk it?

With THAT out of the way. let's begin.

Who here have desperately wanted an offer, ANY OFFER on their domains on GODADDY which they could push to the free GODADDY auction?

How many people have made an offer via email to the owner of a domain only to be told to make their offer on their GODADDY listing for the domain only to have the domain owner push to auction without even giving you a heads up? (annoying right?)

How many people have always wanted to see how their domains would "DO" in an auction situation but for whatever reason they couldn't pay for a Godaddy auction $25?

Either because they can't afford it or they are just not that confident about their domain to pay to start a Godaddy auction? But someone else is?

To be perfectly honest. The best scenario is to get an offer on GODADDY. Push it to free auction and then use the money you SAVE that should have been payment to start a GODADDY auction and use it to pay for a featured listing on GODADDY or Namebio to promote the auction.

Let's be honest again. Many of us have domains that we're 50-50 on. We're not too confident but we "swear" if it only went on auction where all the exposure is it would sell for decent money or big money.

Godaddy's Push Make Offer to a Free GODADDY Auction is very much an overlooked hidden gem of an opportunity in domaining. I think it's the only marketplace that has this "gimmick" and it's a pretty sweet one.

Is there anyone on NP who is willing to buy a domain for say $100-$125? if the domain is worth it?

Would you make this offer knowing you are helping a fellow domainer push that offer to a free GODADDY auction?

Total Win win. You get the domain you are after and the domain seller sells a domain for the cheapest cost possible.

What do you have to lose? If you get outbid then you don't really lose anything.

So this is my solution and the point of this post.

Looking for an offer on your GODADDY Listed Domain to push to free auction?

Then.......

Showcase your GODADDY Domain listings that you want to get offers on. HERE in this thread.

(with the UNDERSTANDING that you INTEND to USE THAT OFFER TO PUSH that domain to a Free GODADDY Auction.)
Make an OFFER on domains you LIKE and INTEND to BUY and will Pay for if you are the only bidder in that auction.
Any offer on any GODADDY Listing initiated because of this thread must be reported to the domain owner in this thread via REPLY TO POST so that the Domain Owner knows it's an NP user and not just an actual GODADDY offer.
Why?
Transparency!
We see such transparency in the NP domain auctions all the time!
If a deal goes bad? Then grievances can be aired out publicly here and ruler breakers will be exposed.
Recap.
Domain owners?
1. List domains on GODADDY (Free) at the lowest Minimum amount allowed ($20?$100?) whatever it is.
2. List domains as No Reserve even at auction at Godaddy.
3. Redirect your domain to it's GODADDY listing.
4. Post GODADDY Listed Domains you want offers on that you intend to push to GODADDY Free auction.
Domain Buyers?
1. Follow Domain redirect to GODADDY Listing.
2. Make offer.
3. You may need to send counter offer.
4. Expect to see domain pushed to auction of which YOU are the first and highest and maybe the only bidder.
5. When Auction is over and you are the only with the highest bid or only bid. Proceed with payment and prepare to transfer domain to your registrar account

Warning!!!!!

1. All bids and offers are final and bidding. NO EXCEPTIONS!
2. Winning bidders MUST PAY for WON domains and proceed with payment and transfer of domains.
3. NO EXCUSES that you "didn't know" as it is clear what the purpose of this thread is.

So Domainer? What domain would you like to get at least a One offer on so you can activate the Free Push to GODADDY Auction?

Let's begin!

welcome! please fill this thread with all your Godaddy listings you want offers on. from what @JB-lions says here below. seems like Godaddy might be a better site for this than Sedo. I was always under the impression that Sedo was "thee only game in town" that allowed this "turn offer to free auction."

I NEVER KNEW THIS! who else didn't??

I guess you learn something new everyday!

Thanks @JB-Lions!

but still though Sedo does have high priced sales. Can't confirm if those sales were thru auctions or incoming inquiries that end in a sale. They never really distinquish one from thee other on Namebio (perhaps a new update Namebio?:xf.wink::xf.wink:)

Anyways. Godaddy is great for anyone who is looking to just let a domain they no longer want to have or can't afford to renew but the domain still has little (some meat on bones) to big value ( either at auction or if hustled via outbounds and sold to enduser (retail)) or someone sees beauty in the domain that no one else does and gets it.

At the very least the domain owner can get their money back (reg and renewals) plus maybe some profit because best case scenario here is that the domain gets 1 bid then when people "power search" on Godaddy where they simply click on the Bids column to filter which domains have the highest bids for the keyword (s) they are looking for and they go down the list all the way down to all the domains with just 1 bid.

That's where they will find your your domain and decide if they will put it on their "Radar" and or bid.

of course now that you have pushed this domain to free Godaddy auction. you can use the money you would have spend on sending your domain to 7 day auction and use that instead to pay for featured listing on Godaddy to get more exposure.

So in that scenario. You have a domain with 1 bid plus now you have featured it which is really what you need to get exposure on your domain.

Of course this thread isn't about showcasing just domains you think are crap or wanna get rid of. It's also a way to get your better domains and "Get the ball rolling" and sell it via auction.

So maybe you have a domain you think worth $500? or $1000? or hey even $10,000 or even $100,000? nothing gets the ball rolling than having a domain at auction on Godaddy with it featured and it having at least 1 bid on it.

It's up to you what price you want to put as the starting bid. I have chosen to leave that blank on this thread because (as far as I know) Godaddy allows you to go as low as $20 offer to allow you to push it to auction? (as what @JB-Lions said in that other thread.)

I guess this option of Godaddy is better than Sedo which forces you to wait till you get a $100 offer on your domain before you can push to free auction.

Some hesistate on putting a $100 offer on a domain regardless of how great the domain is. but $20? if you can't put $20 on a domain that could be worth $xxx or $x,xxx? Then you are in the wrong biz right?

So let's go! post your Godaddy listings here that you want to "Get off your books" already and free up some cash for other investments.

and for you people looking to buy. If the price is in your budget. why not make an offer? If you are the "last person standing) then you will get that domain at the lowest price possible and if someone outbids you well those are the breaks.

At the VERY LEAST you've helped a fellow domainer make a sale and in the END? that's just more sales history on Namebio.com which many of use can use as sales data in the future with our own domains.

For example, not much sales for "IOE" domains (even though this term gets 2,740,000 searches per month!) if someone posts one here and you've got a bunch of IOE domains? why not bid? if you've got some. that means you like the term IOE so getting one at $20 isn't that bad if it's a good IOE domain.
(Internet of Everything). and here's the best part. if someone on Godaddy finds this IOE domain listed at auction and it has 1 bid already and it's featured? maybe it will get a higher bid and then maybe snowball effect?

too many maybe's? ok fine. so maybe that IOE domain will sell for $100? if we get a bunch more of these sales on Namebio.

We'll at the very least get IOE domain sales "on the board" to put it on everyone's "Radar".

And that's just an example of the term "IOE" home many other terms are out there we wish would have more sales data?

What I'm saying here is.

LET'S CREATE OUR OWN SALES DATA to increase the value of our own domains.

I'm not talking about Shill bidding here because in thee end you are bidding on domains you WILL and MUST Buy. NO EXCEPTIONS.

We're all Traders here. Trading in Domains.

I would think whoever posts here is going to start their make offer at the lowest possible. The equivalent of putting a domain for auction here on Namepros for $1.

So let's do this! Post your domain today!

Im confused by this thread. How come it talks about pushing a domain to sedo and then its godaddy and then sedo again.

Arn't they two different things??

I have a name with an offer that I pushed to auction already at GD, can I still post it here even if the bid is over $100? @Eric Lyon

Auctions on NamePros must be exclusive and can not be listed in an active auction anywhere else.

I hope that helps clarify.

Thanks.

Unlike Sedo, auctions at Godaddy are free to list.
So what is the point of this thread? am I missing something?

you can launch an offer/counter offer listing into auction,
the same way when you receive an offer at Sedo

the point is to maximize the views
and you will get more exposure than a regular 7 days auctions at Godaddy
the successful auction are the ones that get traction during the first days

i have launched so many 7 days auctions that receive only bids in the last couple days, and the result was not so great

Hello NP,
I'm trying to free up some of my allowed External domains and sales thread limits.

So I've decided to consolidate both my threads below into one all encompassing thread to cover all platforms.

https://www.namepros.com/threads/sh...fers-on-to-push-it-to-auction.1005683/page-13

https://www.namepros.com/threads/sh...-you-want-bids-on-to-push-to-auction.1042015/

The new thread for all domain auction platforms that you want offers on your domains that you want to push to auction or are already at auction is below.

I just want to free up one external domain and website sales allotment for my paid account and just streamline everything.

https://www.namepros.com/threads/sh...h-to-auction-or-is-a-auction-already.1193387/

Please from now on submit ALL your domains to the link above. It's just better this way and less clutter.

Please go to the link blow for more info and details and instructions.

https://www.namepros.com/threads/sh...h-to-auction-or-is-a-auction-already.1193387/

I hope everyone is safe and healthy and all the best. Thank you for understanding.
