Have to admit the billboard is funny lol

Melania Trump threatens lawsuit over English class billboard

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/melania-trump-threatens-lawsuit-over-english-class-billboard/
"I'm satisfied with the fact that the school admitted that they violated the law and that they are ready to remove the billboards and (Facebook) ads," lawyer Natasa Pirc-Musar told The Associated Press. "We are still analyzing possible further legal steps."

CBS doesn't say what law the school violated. Probably for using her image without consent.

The headline "Melania Trump threatens lawsuit" is incorrect as well

I must admit that the ad is pretty good though...

Muhammad Is Top English Baby Name for Fifth Year Running
Muhammad is the top name for baby boys in the English regions of London and the West Midlands in 2016, and was the top scoring across the whole of England and Wales in the year when slight variations in spelling are taken into account.

Next week, Sept 25th the people of the Kurdistan regions as well as those living in the disputed areas, will cast their votes on whether they want independence,"

Iraq will not be pleased, Turkey will be fuming mad, many other countries will be against it. and some like Israel are for it. Not sure where the US stands.

The Kurds are the world's largest stateless people after being denied their own country in the wake of World War I, Kurds are spread between Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey.

People who are "quaking in their boots" because KJU may be able to drop a bomb on the US mainland or Guam probably don't want to become the incinerated targets of a successful attempt. Or suffer from fallout years later.

So are you implying by your choice of words that that makes them cowards?

No. But there is a hysterical nature to their concerns. A problem that has existed for decades suddenly becomes a major fear that everyone is worried about. Until the government and media find something better to scare people with. Then NK will quickly be forgotten. This is the nature of politics and media in the US. It's like this everywhere of course, but Americans seem more gullible about it. They jump from one irrational fear to another without ever looking back and seeing how ridiculous it all is.

There are countless problems in the world that could potentially kill us at any time. That's life. There is no point in getting worked up over a relatively remote risk. There is especially no point in doing that on a serial basis. As usual, this stuff just helps the politicians and the elite to have their way with a fearful public. And that's what they really should be afraid of.

There is only one President during my lifetime that, Has never been given a chance by the opposition party or it's followers, has had the media against him since the mere minute he was elected.

That would be President Donald J Trump.

He obviously won the election, By the peoples vote. But yet, this daily BS still continues by the media and the liberals. A bunch of conspiracy theory shit with no substance.

I will concede that point. Fear is the most powerful marketing tool there is, Though marketing as we think of it usually focuses on more trivial social fears (laundry that isn't clean enough, unpleasant odors, etc.)

(Trump based his entire campaign on feeding fears, but I digress...)

Still, KJU is unhinged, 45 is impulsive and baiting him. I think a little fear from anyone within missile range is understandable. US citizens are not used to thinking of themselves as a target, it's a new concept, so of course they're more concerned than those whose have become acclimated to the idea.

Question? Since preexisting conditions is the biggest drawback to repeal Obama care, couldn't they just put in the law that if any insurance company wants to receive gov financing of any shape (medicare, Medicaid, tax credits etc) they can only charge 50percent more than the standard rate(rate for healthy) individuals.

Pre existing is one issue, its not the only one. Annual and lifetime caps, premium increase, decreased and unequal federal funding (which puts the burden on states, some of which may lack adequate resources) are a few of the others.

50% would still put insurance out of reach for many. Premiums are expected to rise under this bill because of decreased funding and lifting of some constraints. For example, Premiums for older people will be allowed to be 5x that of younger, instead of 3x as it is now. So you're already looking at 5 figure annual premiums for 55-65 (possibly 50+) regardless of health status.

This is a hurried solution to a complex issue affecting so many in many ways and seems largely motivated by a partisan desire to "end ACA." It is opposed by medical groups including the AMA, and even insurers like BCBS have spoken out against it.

An issue this critical to everyone calls for a bipartisan discussion and solution that truly benefits "we the people." And since we have a framework in place with some parts of the puzzle working (essential benefits, caps on out of pocket expenses, pre-existing conditions), negotiating to shore up and fix the parts of ACA which don't work would be more efficient and cost effective than sabotaging it.

BTW, a belated happy birthday to the US constitution, which was put down on paper and signed on 9/17/1787 and first published for public consideration on 9/19/1787.
